Absoutely Wonderful

Our visit was absolutely wonderful! The location was very serene and romantic. Easy access to the ocean. Entrance to Cape Breton National Park just down the road.
Jewel By The Sea felt like home the minute we walked in the door and plopped down our things and put our feet up out on the deck facing the ocean. Huge windows fill the rooms with sunlight and the view of the ocean is positively stunning. We cooked several meals in the well-stocked kitchen, spent hours in the living room, reading, engaging in intimate conversations and soaking in the spectacular views. On several mornings we sat on the back porch and watched a group of seals playing and soaking up the sun just offshore, watched Eagles soar thru the skies. We even had a Bull Moose stop by for a visit one evening. Tremendous!
The location of the house is rural -- There is a large grocery store about an hour and half away or stop at the coop in Baddeck (about 30-45 minutes) before you arrive because restaurant offerings are scarce. -- but if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the place to go. Also, spend $25 for a book of ferry tickets. Trust me, you'll save a lot of money doing so.
House is exactly as pictured and is well stocked, only thing you need is your clothes and groceries....everything else is provided. Great kitchen. Beautiful views from everywhere in the house. We are all in love with Cape Breton, but I am sure that we don't have to tell you that.
Although this was our first trip to Nova Scotia, it will not be our last. Thank you for letting us share your home, we truely enjoyed our 2 weeks there and hope to return soon.
Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway, any Age that enjoys nature and peaceful surroundings.
