What A Great Fripp!

What a fantastic week!
The week prior to Easter 2011 our two families traveled to Fripp Island for Spring Break. At the last moment, our plans changed and we were in need of different accomodations. After a brief search on homeaway.com and a quick call to the owner of this home, we were set. With almost no prior notice, the owners went out of their way to make sure our families were well prepared for a fun vacation. Their hospitality and concern for their renters made the trip that much more enjoyable!
Regarding the house, it was perfect for our families. We had 4 adults and 3 young boys in our crew. The house was super clean and spacious. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep, relax, spread out, gather, play, socialize, and decompress. There are two golf carts that make automobile travel irrelevant and access to the beach simple. There are several bikes for adults and kids and bike paths that span the island. The playground is walking distance from the house which makes for a great “filler” activity.
The boys swam; we rode bikes all over the island; we collected shark’s teeth on the beach; we played wiffle ball in the quiet cul-de-sac; we set out the crab trap; we cooked steaks on the grill; we cooked fun meals in the huge kitchen; we relaxed on the deck; we read books on the screened porch; we fed apples to the deer. We played hard, rested well, and had lots of fun.
Our thanks to the owners for their incredible hospitality and wonderful home. You made our Spring Break an amazing memory!
