Ketchum Fly Fishing

Our annual fly fishing trip to Ketchum appeared would not occur because my fly fishing partner had just recently rolled his truck and trailer . We used the trailer as our home (all amenities) staying at a local RV park in Ketchum for a reasonable price. So now we would need a plan "B". I began searching the internet only to find very expensive listings that were well beyond our budget since we were also taking my partners two 11 year old boys with us. They would be with us for the first 5 days being taught to fly fish. Luckily I came across this property so I took a chance. I contacted the owners and sent them a deposit. When we arrived in Ketchum on 7/28 I was pleasantly surprised with the property. It was a very nice two bedroom, one bath apartment with a kitchen and living room. The property was immaculate! The owners had told me the kitchen had all the utensils and equipment we would need to cook meals. The owners told us that if we needed anything or had problems to contact them. I would emphatically recommend this property to others. The property was in an excellent location for what we had planned to do in Ketchum, that is fly fish! There are numerous trails within walking distance. You can even walk or bike to downtown Ketchum. The downtown area is just 6 blocks away. Downtown Ketchum has numerous restaurants and shops. We had dinner out twice eating pizza and pasta with the 2 boys one night and after they had left we had dinner at the Pioneer Saloon, excellent prime rib and trout! I had wanted to have lunch at "Grumpy's", great burgers and beer, but we never made it there as we were always on the river from 9:30 am to about 5 pm. After dinner we would also try to do some late evening fly fishing so we were constantly on the go.We are planning already for next year and will be calling the owners with our reservation request for approximately the same time period. Again, the owners of this property were fantastic! Bottom line though, the price was very reasonable for an excellent property!
