Mauna Lani Area Activities: :
If you want to play in the ocean there are several beaches and small bays to choose from between the Fairmont Orchid and the Mauna Lani Resorts. For toddlers and novice swimmers there are two bay areas with natural protective reefs that make for almost no surf so the little ones can frolic and play in safety. Sheltered from the winds is your own private Beach Club and some of Hawaiis finest snorkeling. Beach club members have use of towels and chairs. There are fresh water showers and a fun beach grill. Turtles often come up on all the beaches in the Mauna Lani resort area to sun and rest themselves, and of course delight us. More often than not you will also see them under water as you swim and snorkel. Discover small sandy coves where you can enjoy a private moment as a family while you explore the restored Kings Trail along the Ocean's edge. Of course there are also two world-class golf courses to test your skills and miles of Petroglyph Trails and Fish Ponds to explore.
Big Island Activities: :
Too numerous to mention are all the adventures to be had on the Big Island of Hawaii! Jeep trails to Waipi'o Valley, Horseback riding in the valley, along the ocean, or at the Parker Ranch. Volcano Hikes at Volcano National Park, and if you're lucky, see the lava flow. Discover Green, Black, and White Sand beaches in abundance and catch an evening sunset before you attend the Luau. Surfing, sailing, cruising and kayaking are all water sports fun, as well as Manta Ray Dives and Dolphin Quest where you can swim and dive with each!
