Beaches::
The most famous beach in Marin County is Stinson Beach (20minutes) which is directly on the Pacific Ocean, offering many activities from skimming, vollyball, to surfing. Another beach closer, and on the San Francisco Bay is McNear’s Beach (7 min's) offering miles of sandy beach, a pier, outdoor swimming pool, two tennis courts and picnic tables.
**Cute town of Sausalito, with amazing SF Views and only 15 minutes away has a great beach in which to rent Kayaks, play in some sand and watch boats go by.
**Marin Headlands- 15 minutes from House! -tons of hidden beach coastline to explore!**Cronkite/Rodeo Beach: 15 minutes from home (Ocean) - Great Hiking, nature exploring, and surfing (see cam)!
**Angel Island: -15 minute drive to Tiburon, 8 minute Ferry Ride.
**Bolinas Beach: 30 minute drive (incredibly scenic!)
**Pt Reyes National Seashore: -25 minute drive or less.
**Muir Beach: 24 minutes from home (Ocean) -after Muir Woods, soak up the sun at Muir Beach!

If you are a fan of outdoors be sure to bring your mountain bike along with your hiking boots. Boat and Kayaking rental is available! In addition to nearby open space trails, there is China Camp State Park offering riches of bird species, plants, and views, along with world class mountain biking trails!
Marin Vacation home visitors often come here to indulge in outdoor activities like hiking, sea kayaking, cycling, & sailing, to bird watching, whale watching, and flower hunting. Incredible beaches like Stinson Beach are readily close by. Enjoy State and National Parks like world renowned Muir Woods National Monument, Pt Reyes National Seashore, and gorgeous Mt Tamalpais, just to name some of the many amazing and different possibilities. Of course, some prefer to just relax on the deck with a glass of wine taking in the amazing vista of the Terra Linda Open Space, the bay, and Wine Country mountains. Wine:
Marin Vacation Rental Retreat is a perfect home base from which to tour the Napa Valley wineries, such as Mondavi , Clos du Bois, & Fetzer. Arrive in central Napa Valley or even Sonoma Valley (another great adjacent wine region) in just 40 minutes or less. More interestingly, visit Marin’s cheese farms , such as Cowgirl Creamery. To go with that cheese, step it up a notch. Marin is very well known for its organic Pey-Marin Pinot Noir, due to the unique climate conditions for that grape- now that is living-organically! Who can’t handle that?
Golf:
Several public and private golf courses can be accessed in Marin County. Take advantage of of Marin’s beautiful, varied terrain, in a variety of settings, from the foot of Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley, to the wetlands near the Bay Shore in Novato, all while getting a great game “in”.
