Winter at Yellowstone Lookout Riverside Home: The only car-accessible Yellowstone Park entrance that remains open year-round is located at Mammoth (the North Entrance). That plowed road makes for a fun drive in the winter—you can explore the Tower Falls area, the Lamar Valley and Cooke City. You may even want to stop and ski on some of the many groomed cross-country ski trails which are located along this road. If you want to view wolves, check out the Lamar Valley in the winter. It is fairly common to view wolf packs from road turnouts using scopes or binoculars. In Mammoth you can rent snowmobiles, cross-country skis and snowshoes and take snow coaches that transport you to Old Faithful or take you on tours to other destinations.
In addition to soaking in the hot pools at Chico Hot Springs, another favorite winter activity is to experience the outdoor natural hot spring pools at Boiling River located just inside the North entrance to Yellowstone. You'll also find a public skating rink near the North entrance at Mammoth.

We have lived in Bozeman, Montana (about 1 hour from the home) for over 25 years. We think you'll like the Paradise Valley and location right on the River. We sure do!
Ronda purchased this house in 2007
Why Ronda chose Paradise Valley
We built this home in 2006/2007. The home is situated right on the banks of the Yellowstone River. In fact, many people say it feels like the river runs right through the living room. The river and mountain views are fabulous and you might even enjoy the great fishing right from the property.
What makes this house unique
The home is loaded with all the comforts of home and the views from the riverside hot tub are amazing! The location offers a great sense of privacy while being situated in a small neighborhood of homes in the Paradise Valley. You'll find easy access to Yellowstone Park and the fun towns of Livingston and Bozeman, Montana.

We had such a wonderful vacation. The home was warm and welcoming. Is was absolutely beautiful seeing God's country and his creation of animals. I would definately recommend staying at one of the Yellowstone Lookout houses. We are planning on booking again next year :o) What a great experience!!!
