I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. My sons would return this minute if they could! It is a very homey place with plenty of activities. I found it perfect for 3 teenagers who needed more than just water and beach. They learned so much there and saw so many things! We saw manatees within 20 minutes of of our arrival! The following day, 3 more arrived, and our sons were able to spend considerable time with them in the water. They also saw barracuda, lobster, horseshoe crab, dolphins and a variety of other fish. You are allowed to use fishing gear, bikes, snorkeling equipment, sailing equipment, water toys, kayaks, and basically anything you might need to use there or to take to a nearby state park. The Captain provided a sunset sailing cruise for all the guests, and taught us many things about the area and the history. The staff were just great, but what really was the icing on the cake were the other guests. This place attracts the best of the best, and everyone gathered at the tiki hut at the end of the day for stories, music, cards and fun. Thank you so much for making our trip so fantastic and for entertaining our boys, Liz and Tony. They are still talking about you. Our last day there, we were doing a final sunset kayak tour and dolphins showed up right next to us. One of them waved his tail in the air like he was saying goodbye! It was just perfect. Like in the other reviews, don't expect a Hilton. This place is not like that. It has atmosphere that you just can't get in a 5 star.
