Description::
This cottage has a very romantic feel to it. It is tastefully appointed and has a warm, festive atmosphere. It is also very private, you have the beach to yourself on most days. All furnishings are brand new and we did not furnish it with the typical condo-style furniture. It has been owner-occupied for 7 years, which is evident by the landscaping and decor. Our cottage is perfect for the couple wanting to get away from the crowds in a special atmosphere. If you choose to stay here, I promise you will want to come again and again!

Located in Surfside Shores subdivision (14 miles out Ft. Morgan Peninsula.. unique and private area which technically is in the City of Gulf Shores, AL (very nice coastal resort town). Peninsula is 22 miles long, 1/2 mi. wide at the most (Gulf on one side and Mobile Bay on the other). Beautiful area... mostly single beach houses...low density… only a handful of condos. Has an 'old beach' feel to it, no glitz or crowds, but you are 20 min. from the action if you want it. House is on a quiet street with wooded dunes, houses spread out. Four blocks from the highway. House is surrounded by empty lots, 90 sec. walk to the beach. Very peaceful.
Three laid back restaurants on the peninsula (2 seafood and one Mexican), and a couple of upscale ones at nearby condo/golf resorts. Kiva Dunes and Peninsula golf courses 10 minutes , top-rated! At least 10 more courses within 30 minutes.

-Historic Ft. Morgan Park, an old civil war fort that is very nice tour at the end of peninsula (7 miles) Amazing private beachcombing around tip of Fort- watch the ships come in.
-Dauphin Island Ferry- 20 minute ride across bay (take your car), worth the trip
-An amazing wildlife refuge a few miles from our house with miles of undeveloped beaches, dune forests with well marked trails, 50 ft high sand dunes... quite special.
-Fishing: Great surf fishing (redfish, black drum, flounder, and whiting plentiful right off the beach).Guides and charter boats nearby at Ft. Morgan Marina (5 miles).
-Great coastal wetlands kayaking area nearby
- Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area: 20-30 minutes down road, water parks, amusement parks, restaurants, nightlife, shopping for all wallets.
