Enjoy autumn and winter in New England at this warm, relaxing, clean home. Many activities to choose from including hiking, golfing, biking, fishing, kayaking, leaf peeping, and apple picking. In October, take a ski ride on a chair lift at Sunapee and enjoy the views. In the winter, take a short drive to ski Mount Sunapee with top-ranked snow surfaces and 144'' of snow the '07 -'08 season. The home is three levels: 2 master bedrooms upstairs; LR, DR, gas fireplace, full kitchen, half-bath with washer/dryer on main level; bedroom with bunk beds and a bathroom on the lower level (walk-out). Great deck space looking over Chalk Pond and screened-in porch for al fresco dining. Walk to a private assoc. Beach, tennis, basketball and play area. Additional information about rental rates

  • $1,250 - $1,600 per week (plus tax and security deposit). Weekends may be available.
  • All rentals include utilities, local phone, and 2 hour professional cleaning. If the cleaning takes longer than 2 hours because the home was left dirty, the additional cleaning fee will be deducted from your security deposit. Tenants are expected to remove all garbage from the premises, launder all towels, and leave the home clean (i.e. broom swept, counters clean, refrigerator cleared, etc).

    Homeowner is responsible for snow removal.

    Check-in 3:00pm; Check-out 10:00am

    If you are looking to book the home for an unusual time period, please contact Lisa as we may be able to accommodate your request.
  • No pets, no smoking, no exceptions.

    Please note: The house is on the market for sale. Therefore, we will not rent the house more than 2 months in advance. We can hold dates further out for you and send a lease 2 mths prior to your arrival. The house may be shown during your stay. If the house is shown during your stay, you will be reimbursed $50.

My husband and I visited NH with my parents and our 3-year-old. This house was perfect for our situation. Each couple had their own master suite/bathroom and our daughter loved the bunk room. There's also plenty of space to gather on the main level.

The property is well kept, like new, and stocked with everything you could need - even a baby monitor, crayons and stepstools! Cell reception was spotty, but the house does have a landline and cable tv.

Chalk Pond and the surrounding area are gorgeous in the fall. Rain kept us from using the nature trail up the road, but we did (successfully!) try our hand at kayaking one morning. The area is peaceful and quiet, but the grocery store and restaurants are just a few minutes away.

We'd gladly rent it again to explore more of New Hampshire (if only we didn't live 800 miles away)!

We are frequent renters with rental by owner, and this is the cleanest house we had visited. Lisa is wonderful to work with, prompt and fair. Chalk Pond is wonderful that it doesn't allow motorboats, kayaking on the quiet and clean pond was great, esp. during early morning.

I join the review group in awarding five stars to this lovely, quiet vacation spot. The accommodations are up-to-date, with modern appliances and every comfort of home. The house was designed to belong in its rustic, natural environment, with knotty pine walls and a stone fireplace, etc.... The lake is very typical of the clean, New Hampshire waters. The area easily supports the needs of outdoors enthusiasts. Some in our group took to the mountains, while I visited New England colleges with my son, a high school senior. This home is an amazing value. As others have said, Lisa, the owner, is great to work with. There is no cell reception in the house but there is a land line, and our laptops worked well.

More Than Anticipated

We were looking for a place that was nice, comfortable, and where we could get together for a reunion week with our adult children and their significant others that accomodated all of us comfortably and have some activities close by to keep us entertained. Well, this place far exceeded our expectations. The home is nicer than what you get from the pictures, is in tip top shape, and the perfect open concept layout for groups. The location is wonderful also. Chalk Pond is a very peaceful, quiet body of water bigger enough for all the activities you would want but not so big that you have large crowds and a lot of noise. It's close proximity to Lake Sunapee also provides all the activities and advantages of a large resort area availble within a short drive, and yet there were no crowds to deal with around Lake Sunapee either. For us it was the perfect destination for our get together. This will certainly be at the top of the list of place we consider for next years get together. Let me just also add that working with the Lisa was easy and a pleasure. Over all the experience was terrific

We (all 7 of us!) were delighted to be back in one of our fave spots and even more thrilled to have found such a great place to stay...

....warm, cosy, beautifully furnished & equipped, this vacation home has everything, inc a great big "mudroom" with plenty of space to store gear.

Bedrooms all very comfortable and living space delightful.

We hope to return, maybe in the summer to use the lake....Jane
