Our home has a wonderful waterfront location one mile from village center on quiet dead-end road, and we have a small sandy beach. The dock can accommodate two boats to 36-38 feet with 4.5 feet draught, and has power & water. The house has 4 bedrooms, open living/dining, updated kitchen, tv room and small screened dining porch. Almost every room has an excellent waterview; the master bedroom and living rooms open onto a brick patio which offers privacy and wonderful pond views. The house is comfortable, well furnished and well equipped. The master bedroom has a private bath and we also have a large outside shower. Martha's Vineyard is an island off Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We are located in Vineyard Haven, which is the main port of entry and a classic New England town with a beautiful harbor and many excellent shops. Hines Point is a peninsula in Lagoon Pond, which is a two-mile saltwater pond with access to the harbor and the open ocean!. Our home is within walking distance (about a mile) of the ferry and Vineyard Haven Main Street. Lagoon Pond has boating access via a bascule bridge from Vineyard Haven outer harbor.

  • Arrival and departure dates possibly may be flexible, depending upon bookings, please inquire. Our rates include departure/turnover cleaning and set-up or up to 8 hours: any additional cleaning is tenant responsibility with charges to be deducted from the security deposit.
  • Security/damage deposit will apply. Cleaning up to 8 hours is included in rate assuming that house is left as directed with -- in good and habitable condition with all linens, dishes, pots and pans, etc. clean and put away; all trash and tenant property removed from house, etc.

  • Master bedroom has a private bath. The upstairs bedrooms rooms share an upstairs hallway bath. There is a spacious central bath on the first floor which functions as the public bath as well as the bathroom for the 2nd downstairs bedroom. There is an enclosed outside shower for use after beach visits or for everyday showering in summer.

  • Master bedroom is on the first floor and has a queen bed, private bath, ceiling fan, opens to patio, and has a lovely water view. Bedrooms 2 is on the first floor, has a peek at the water, and has a double bed. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are both upstairs and both have good water views. Bedroom 3 is a cozy room with a double bed ; Bedroom 4 has built-in beds, twin size. We have digital photos of the bedrooms available to email. There are portable fans and the second floor has a whole-house fan; there is no air conditioning which is generally not necessary on the Vineyard and anyway we prefer fans and open windows & doors with screens and the natural breezes off the water

Notes: The main dining area in the combination dining/living room will accommodate 8 easily -- in addition there is a small screened porch with a table seating 4 and the patio dining table seats 8 easily. The seating area of the living room will accommodate 5-8 and the library/TV room accommodates 4 adults. Our home is an older cape which has been opened up some, but the rooms are typically smaller than those in many contemporary dwellings. Overall living space is 2500 sf+-. You can make prior arrangements with our cleaning people for interim cleaning, daily or otherwise, at your expense. We have a floorplan sketch in digital format (jpg) which may be helpful, and would be happy to email it to you on request.
