First Cabin Experience

What a wonderful experience! We planned a last minute family weekend vacay before summer's end, and the owners were very accomodating to that. I love how secluded the cabin is, it was refreshing to to be "kinda" unplugged for a while, even though we did catch a couple of rainy night movies, lol. The cabin was perfectly sized for our family of 4, and very cozy and clean, which was important since we spent Friday night and most of Saturday doing outdoor activities in the rain. We didn't utilize the cabin as much as we could have, the kitchen is fully stocked, but we needed some instant gratification meals. We still hiked and fished in the rain, and filled our belly's with hot fresh meals at Vinnie's Diner (smiles to Zeus) and Grateful Head Pizza and Tap Room. I think we had breakfast at Steven's Gap, but sadly had no room left for a slice of pie that everyone raves about. You must also go to Girls Gone Wine, lovely ladies with such a neat shoppe. You must go to the Forest Heritage Center, what a gem, and there is a lovely older couple that handmakes beautiful wood treasures for purchase. We had amazing weather on Sunday, of course when we were leaving, and went swimming in the lake (we entered at Lakeview Lodge) which was SO much fun, and hiked on the beginner's trail there. We fully intend to tackle that intermediate trail next time! I only wish the check out time was a wee bit later, 10:00, but it forced us out of bed to enjoy our last chance with a beautiful day before leaving. We would not hesitate to stay here again for a repeat visit, and even though it was a first time experience here, we're so looking forward to returning! Thank you Chillin' for an awesome experience!
