Enjoy a clean, luxury home in quiet Pheasant Cove, tucked in the marsh within 2 minutes of historic Rte. 6A. Not your typical beach rental, featuring tasteful New England furnishings, lots of living space, cable TV and Internet, and a huge finished basement complete with toys and light workout equipment. Enjoy the stunning sunsets and active wildlife as you stroll around the friendly neighborhood.
Explore antiquing and roadside produce stands along Rte 6A, drive 2 minutes to nearby Gray's beach and observe the wildlife from the renovated boardwalk, or drive 12 minutes to park yourself at any of the North-side Corporation, Mayflower, Chapin or Cold Storage Beaches.
If Rte 6A sounds too quaint, both the commerce of Rte 28 & the nightlife of Hyannis are a 10 minute drive away. For kids, there are 2 playgrounds with swing sets within a minute's drive, or plan a 20-minute drive to get ice cream, romp on the trampolines or race the go-karts in Harwich.
Kayaking, great food and fresh air all await you! Take a swing in the hammock and hang out in the private landscaped back yard or take a splash in the outdoor shower. Sorry, no pets. Available year-round with very reasonable prices and multi-week discounts. Book early for best prices!
I'm happy to share our special home with people looking to have a memorable Cape Cod experience. Many of our guests have become repeat guests, saying that the photos don't do the home justice!
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
My family and I vacationed in Yarmouthport every summer for over 40 years. It's centrally located and this spot off of 6A was long a favorite of ours--near our favorite beaches on the Cape (Mayflower, Chapin, Bass River, Corporation, etc), but also off a quaint stretch of Rte 6a featuring landmarks that have been there for years-- galleries, general stores, bed and breakfasts, wonderful restaurants, and a quiet energy during all seasons, with yard sales, art shows and pie sales dotting the way. We hope you'll love it as much as we do!
This home is unlike many summer rentals...in addition to being well maintained and spacious, it is well appointed; we view it more as a summer vacation home than a rental property. The home is very spacious, with 3 living levels and all the amenities you'd want, including some games for kids, a NordicTrak and older rowing machine, and exercise ball, and yard games and a relaxing hammock. The neighborhood is peaceful and populated with nice folks, most of whom live there year-round. Plus we're a short walk away from hiking trails, conservation land, Gray's Beach and the lovely marsh with beautiful sunset views. Come chill your wine in the wine chiller, watch the sunset over the marsh, and put some food on the grill and relax in the sunroom overlooking the private back yard with blue lace hydrangea, a Japanese maple, several rhodies and watch the birds.
We have been staying on Cape Cod the past four summers and this property is perfect for our extended family. The photos and listing were helpful in making our original decision to rent and we were delighted with our choice. Everything has been carefully considered to accommodate and anticipate our needs. This home is immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, wth lovely landscaping. It is in a quiet, safe neighborhood, which is great for young children. It is easily accessible to beaches, attractions and fine dining. The owners are gracious and helpful. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a home away from home.
Dear Tara, your home is beautiful. We truly enjoyed it the children as well. My elderly mom was also with us on vacation and in and out access to the house was perfect. A lovely neighborhood, very quiet. Most important your home was very clean. Whom ever does your cleaning between guests does a great job. Having linens was a big plus. Packing up seven people is a big enough job without having to take linens. Great that you offer that option. Tara if I had to comment on anything, it would be carpet in the eating area. It looked brand new and I was very mindful of caring for it. I think flooring would be easier for yourselves and your guests. Being a guest in your home and communicating back and forth with you was a great experience and I will never forget your kindness you showed me last year when my brother was so ill and we couldn't make it. He was able to join us this year and he as well had a wonderful time. Again Tara thank you for your kindness and hospitality. Sincerely, Marie and family
My family had a fabulous time at this charming home. More than enough space for my family of 10. Spotless and very well equipped. Very convenient location to all activities and beaches. We walked into this home and every room was exactly like the photos shown and all amenities were what was listed. Tara went above to help with any questions that I had, she is a very accommodating owner. We are hoping to go back next year to make more great memories at this beautiful Cape home.
This was our 4th or 5th time at the house. Have lost count. The location of the house is very convenient to lots of activities from whale watching to kayaking to the Dennis beaches and much more. I love the extra outdoor shower. The decor and amenities allow for a much needed relaxing vacation. The kids (teens now) always have a great time at the Cape and look forward to this relaxing week year after year.
This is the second year that we have rented here and as good as the first year was, this was even better. User friendly, it gave all of us an opportunity to come-and-go as we pleased while enjoying all of the amenities provided.
We had a wonderful vacation and loved the house. The house is spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and was comfortable for my family and me. The location was very convenient for many activities, including enjoying Mayflower Beach and the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. The neighborhood was beautiful and peaceful. We look forward to returning next year.
Small hiking trails are within a 2 minute walk in several directions, neighborhood overlooks Great Marsh and is a 1 minute drive to Gray's beach and the boardwalk. A hammock and chimenea are located in the back yard for your enjoyment. Bocce set on site- not court, but a hard-packed area in back yard to play.Check out the BassRiver cruises to learn history and see great waterfront homes.
