What a great place! We couldn't believe how easy it was to get around from there. We even walked most of the time!
And to come back to such a comfortable "home away from home" at the end of the day. It was more than we hoped for. (We especially liked all the reasonable restaurants in the neighborhood!)
We'll definitely be back.
We found this beautiful apartment perfect for our needs. We spent a week visiting our daughter at UCDC, seeing the sites, dining out with her roommates and friends. We used the metro occasionally but often walked to and from the mall. The neighborhood was lively but not noisy, and very safe.
The apartment was clean, beautifully appointed with everything we needed, and close to grocery shopping and restaurants. The owners were quiet, unobtrusive, but very helpful when we needed help getting a parking pass midway through our stay.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting DC. It was wonderful to come home to this cozy place after a long day of sightseeing!
We stayed with our 2 young boys(4,6). It was a great location. Owner was amazing. He was extremely helpful with pointing stores and restaurants. The apartment was very conveniently located to the bus and trains.
This location was great for our family visiting Washington DC. We stayed here three nights, two adults and two teenagers. Nice walk to the Dupont Circle Metro a half mile away and we walked at all times of day into the late night and felt very safe. We shopped at the nearby Trader Joe's and had coffee at Three Fifty Bakery and Coffee on 17th. The apartment was very clean and everything is as noted in the description. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting DC.
We absolutely loved our apartment in Dupont Circle. The space was perfect for our needs - delightful kitchen with all the amenities, bathroom that had a great shower with super water pressure, very luxurious bedroom with super comfy sheets, printer, wifi, and plenty of closet space with lots of hangers, and finally a charming living room with two pull out twin beds that according to my children were super cozy. We loved coming home to such a comfortable space. The Dupont Circle and U Street Metro were both in walking distance from the apartment, about .5 miles to each. We used the Metro every day to get to the National Mall, the Zoo and the Nationals Park to see a ballgame. Safeway Market was super close too. We purchased all of our breakfast foods there the night we arrived. I cannot say enough about this apartment and the location. We felt safe walking around at night in the Dupont neighborhood that was so lovely. There are so many restaurants to choose from, all in walking distance. We cannot wait to return!
Excellent location, great amenities, and perfect space that feels like " home" for the week. We walked 9- 12 miles a day sight seeing from our " home base" and enjoyed all that Dupont / DC has to offer! Thank you to the wonderful owners of this great property!
We had a wonderful 5-night stay. The apartment has everything you could want. It is very clean, comfortable, smartly decorated, and in a great location. Chris was a pleasure to communicate with and we appreciated reviewing the guide books he had in the apartment. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to others. We liked being able to walk and take the Metro to all of the tourist destinations. We each got a one week pass for the Metro and we used it 2 or 3 trips a day. We even used it to get to the airport. Dupont Circle is filled with really good restaurants and lots of history. While in Dupont Circle, be sure to visit the Phillips Collection. Georgetown is not that far away and it is fun to walk along the canal and the river and do a self guided walking tour of the town. We had contacted our Congressman prior to the trip, so his office arranged a tour of the Library of Congress and an intern provided a private tour of the Capitol. The Smithsonian Museums are all free. Rather than trying to see all of the National Gallery of Art in one day, we broke up the visit over a few days.
