We designed our home for groups to be pampered, so there are many special amenities, including: 4 Master suites, each with an attached bath and two queen-sized beds (8 beds total). The large, walk-in showers are finished in Italian travertine and the vanities have granite countertops. The open floor plan offers a great room with 50 inch plasma TV, dining/poker table with seating for 8 and a separate billiard room with championship Brunswick table. Every bedroom has an I-pod docking station so you can enjoy your favorite tunes. Each bedroom also has a 42 inch plasma TV.

The fully equipped kitchen is spacious enough for many cooks, or you can hire one of our personal chefs to prepare meals for you. The outdoor entertainment area is perfect for relaxing by the fire, grilling steaks (stainless steel grill), or practicing on the putting green. No expense was spared and no detail overlooked. We stocked the house with wine, DVDs, CDs and golf instruction books.

Our large, new home is secluded in privacy, yet conveniently located only two minutes from the Bandon Dunes golf resort. The new Bandon Dunes course, Old McDonald, is just two-tenths of a mile away. About Rick Oster

I fell in love with Bandon Dunes on my first visit in 2004 and was determined to share the experience with my friends. However, after spending $1,600 per night to stay in their Grove Cottages (which can only sleep 4 guys), I knew there was a better way. I started searching for quiet, heavily forested acreage close to the resort, to build a home of my own. I began dreaming of a home designed specifically for groups of golfers to hang out and have fun. In 2006 my dream became a set of blueprints, and in 2007 my first home was built. I sold that home and built this one in 2008. This home includes a few more amenities and ideas that improved apon the original house, and I know you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Why Rick Oster chose Bandon

Location, location, location...Surrounded by 80 foot tall trees, breathing the fresh air of an Oregon forest, less than a mile from the ocean. Being two-tenths of a mile from one of the world's greatest golf resorts doesn't hurt either! Although secluded, the house is really close to the clubhouse. As the resort expands (the 4th course, Old McDonald, opened to the public in June 2010) this should become a great long-term investment as well.

What makes this house unique

I love coming back to my home with friends after a day on the links, watch a little ESPN or GOLF channel on one of the 5 plasma TV's and have a few beers. For dinner, my friend Nora, a local chef, will ome to the house and cook for us. She usually brings her husband Dennis along, who knows more about Oregon wine than anyone in the area. They are such nice people, and they take great care of us (They are available for any of our guests as well). After dinner I like to beat my friends at any game possible. We either play pool, play cards, or have a putting contest. Some of the guys like to smoke cigars on the porch or sit by the fire-pit. The point is, there's a lot to do, or there's nothing to do! You decide!

Had a great time. The house is top notch and has all the amenities that make a 8 guy golf trip great. All the extras (pool table, putting green, fire pit, kitchen, satelite TV, etc.) worked great. The putting green was a big hit after a day on the course! We will definitely go back the next trip we make to Bandon and would highly recommend it for anyone making a trip to Bandon. Thanks for a great stay!

The perfect Bandon Dunes golf trip

Let's get this out of the way. Bandon Dunes is one of the best golfing purist destination in the US. Bandon was truly built with one thing and only one thing in mind, great golf. We had a group of 8 guys looking for great golf, a place to relax, play cards and just be guys. This house was the perfect match for what we needed. The home is ideally setup to unwind after golf, bbq some food, play pool, watch some games and play cards. Short 10 minute drive to Bandon. Lots of space and perfect amenities. Maybe add a hot tub in the future? :)

I highly recommend you consider this house if you've got a large group of guys that want to stay under one roof.

We plan to be back in the future and will definitely look to stay here!
Owner's Response: Thanks for the kind words Ron! Just to clarify for future guests, my home is 2 minutes from the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and 10 minutes from the city of Bandon. It is secluded in privacy, yet very close to the golf courses and the ocean.

This rental was exactly as listed and more! We were a group of 8 guys on a guys golf outing for 4 days. Everyone in the group was extremely pleased with the accommodations. The great room and backyard were absolutely perfect for hanging out after a round of golf. ( Just as advertised!) Nora and Dennis (our chefs) had all our beer chilled and our wine ready to go when we arrived at the house. All we had to do was start drinking and enjoying the delicious appettizers Nora had prepared for us. What a treat! We did not have to lift a finger!. We had a great meal and great wine served for us. .Dennis owns a wine shop in Bandon. We got all our wines at reasonable retail prices and delivered to us. Nora also did all the shopping for the other food we needed. Every thing went so smoothly. It was very easy to get things set up for us. We will definitely be returning in the future. I wouild not hesitate to stay in this house again!! Rick Oster, the house owner was a pleasure to work with! If you need a golf house in Bandon Dunes (literally 2-3 minutes from the resort) Look no further this is it!

Beautiful, Spacious Home!

This house was perfect for us! We went with 4 family's to Bandon for the weekend and couldn't have found a nicer place for all of us. Each family had their own suite which was like having your own motel room, yet we were all able to be together. We enjoyed the large central gathering area where some would be playing pool, games at the table, preparing dinner or relaxing in the living room all while being in the same space. We also enjoyed the large fire pit to gather around while we barbecued. The house is beautiful and has everything you need for a weekend away! You'll feel right at home.

Perfect for 4 or 8 golfers

The home is exactly as described, modern, clean and perfect for guys who want to play golf and hang out afterwards. Everyone told us there wasn't much to do other than golf at Bandon and for the most part that's true, except if you stay here. Cool putting green is a great way to settle any carryovers, the pool table is terrific alternative and the BBQ and firepit provide a way to enjoy the outdoors.
It's close to the course and segregated enough from the other homes that you feel remote, but it's only a few minutes to every course. Highly recommended and we WILL be going back and when we do we WILL definitely stay here.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car
