My family stayed here with another family for President's Day weekend and we had a wonderful time! The house was fully equipped with everything that you need especially in the kitchen. The house was neat, clean, and very well organized. The owner, Eileen, was very helpful too. She was very accessible if you had any problems or questions and she gave me numerous ideas of things to do in the area. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. - Janet M.
From the moment you pull up to this retreat, we could tell we were going to have a wonderful time. Five of us from college from around NY state gathered for e reunion of sorts, we had a great time. There was plenty of room to stretch out and feel comfy. it was as if we were staying with relatives. The owners were always in contact and answered any questions or concerns and even went out of their way to find us a nearby spa so we could treat ourselves. The place is convenient to everything we even got some outlet shopping in. I look forward to bringing my family here when the weather gets nice. A hidden gem.
I am extremely impressed with the owner of this house. The owner was very helpful as she made sure that we were well taken care of. The house was spotlessly clean, warm, and inviting. The rooms were clean and the décor was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was fully furnished. This was the first house in Poconos where heat wasn't an issue for me. It’s also about 20 minutes from Jack Frost and Camel Back mountains. We had an amazing stay out here. Thank you!
My husband and I stayed in this house on Valentine day in 2014 and I left my review at that time. This time we decided to spend a few days on Christmas week there. And we both are glad that we made this choice. It was not as cold this time as it was in February so we originally thought we would spend more time outside. But there was not much snow this time so we did not even bother to go for skiing or snow tubing. But the “inside” was so relaxing and cozy that we didn’t even go out for dinners and we had been eating the food that we brought along with us. What I like most about escape like this – for several days we lived ON OUR own relaxing schedule: sleeping late, watching TV and DVD movies we brought in with us in front of the fireplace, taking strolls along the lake and in the forest nearby, DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! And it is so quiet!! After our noisy life in New York the quietness is almost deafing . And occasionally we had a quest on the porch outside - a squirrel that posed for pictures. I would highly recommend this place for people looking for nice, relaxing and calm getaway.
My family and I rented this house in early August of 2014 and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. It was walking distance from the lake, pool, and tennis courts. My family of 5 fit in without trouble. The beds were comfortable and the reclining chair in the living room was also very enjoyable. The kitchen was fully equipped with very nice plates and silverware. We loved grilling and eating on the back porch every evening. The property is well-kept and the pool is beautiful. The stay is really worth it, and the owner did a great job making the interior seem cozy and inviting. She was a pleasure to do business with and called to check up on us when we arrived and how we were settling in. She always offered to help with any questions we may have had. In conclusion, this stay was really worth the money and my whole family loved it. I would recommend it to anyone.
My husband and I went there for Valentine day and President’s day weekend. And we couldn’t think of better place for this occasion.
After our busy (rather crazy) life in New York, this place was a real asylum for us. We read all review, but what we got was even better. It was like you came home, your home. You can feel the aura of the house: warm, friendly, relaxing – just welcoming. What can be better than spend a romantic evening in front of the fireplace (wood provided for free) on a cozy sofa or recliner with your loved one and glass of wine?
The owner thought about every detail in the kitchen, bathrooms, living room. We were coming there after a series of snowstorms, so she called management to warn about our stay and by the time of our arrival the road to the house and parking place for the car were already cleaned! Snow mountains on the side were 2-3 feet, so they would be impassable. Originally we thought about going to the skiing area, but after all we decided to stay inside. It was so nice that we didn’t want to go out (other than for dinner). The closest restaurant Jubilee is 5 min away and is also very nice.
And I can only support Michael S.’ in his words about the owner because it was exactly ours experience:
She called us when she received our payments, promptly sent payment receipts, and even followed up with a phone call when we arrived at the house to make sure all our questions were answered.
We are looking forward to get there in summer and after I read Lynn’s review, we may try some early fall stay. I would highly recommend this place (though it would create a competition among renters :))
