New in 2012! We have redone the bathroom in the master suite. There are now new tile floors and a new shower, also tiled! Also, the foyer is redone so that we have tile across the whole surface.
Exterior Changes: Some additional clearing and trail building which began in the fall of 2010 will continue through 2013. It will be easier than ever to enjoy 'the grounds' of Ridgeview!!

About Jim Baldwin (Prefers Email)
I'm a New Englander by birth. Now California is home, but family, friends and this great property still tie me to my roots.
Jim Baldwin (Prefers Email) purchased this cottage in 1983
Why Jim Baldwin (Prefers Email) chose Newfane
I grew up in the general area, and when friends relocated nearby, I started looking for a few vacant acres. In the early 80's, I bought this acreage as a woodlot, and let it sit for about a decade, thinning trees and dreaming. In the mid 90's, construction began. The house was finished in 1997, and has been a refuge for me, my family and my guests ever since.
What makes this cottage unique
The peace of this spot is wonderful. I love making coffee in the morning and taking it out onto the deck to watch the light come up, and hear the birds welcome the day. Whenever I am asked to imagine 'my spot' for feeling secure and tranquil, I call up this place—the Adirondack chair on the deck in Newfane.
