I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, especially at our cabin (Crescent Lake Cabin!) For example, in the summer we hike, float in the creek, mountain bike, and fish. In the winter, we ski and sled in the driveway. Professionally, I'm a chemist and a software designer and tester.

Mark Rabenstein purchased this cabin in 2005

As a kid, my family had a cabin. As a parent, I wanted to give the same to my children. They have grown up visiting the cabin. Crescent Lake Cabin is convenient to us; it is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from where we live in Bend (and the same distance from Eugene!). Also, We enjoy the seclusion of 3.5 acres, as well as being on Crescent Creek. The natural setting is also gorgeous, with the creek, meadows with butterflies, and pine trees.

In the summer, we enjoy spending time at the dock on the creek, and playing with the kids in the creek. We usually don't go to the lake because the creek is so fun and convenient! In the winter, we enjoy walking out the door and cross-country skiing.

We had a pleasure of staying at Mark’s cabin during New Year’s holiday and we truly enjoyed every day of our stay. Cabin was very clean and well-stocked with firewood... as well as everything you’ll need to enjoy your vacation rental. Great cabin location - quiet and secluded. Great place to get away... get recharged... and enjoy our beautiful Oregon territory.

My family went to the cabin hoping to enjoy some skiing at Willamette Pass, but alas, there was not enough snow for it to be open! We had a lot of fun, anyway -- we went sledding on the big hill across from the Pass, did some snoeshowing right from the cabin, and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and being down by the river. We really liked that the cabin was the last one on the street so it was very quiet and private. Our dog and cat were both very happy there! We had a relaxed weekend and would definitely go again. I'm sure it's great in summer with wonderful hiking!

Our stay was a wonderful family vacation. We are so Happy the Rabensteins opened up their beatiful cabin for other families to enjoy. It is a beautiful place and quite clean and comfortable. I have lived in the mountains of the pacific northwest all my life and would recommend this place to any family.

We stayed at Cabin at Crescent Creek for our 5th anniversary and we had a great time. We loved laying in the sun on the deck next to the creek, the coziness of the cabin and the large yard area for our dog to explore and have short walks. There were many things to do in the area so we hiked to Fawn Lake and Pretty Lake in Diamond Peak Wilderness, hiked at Salt Creek Falls and then a little farther away went to Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and to the falls along the Umpqua River. Most of the restaurants in the area weren't our style (not very healthy) but we did eat at Odell Lake Lodge and it was cute. We were able to cook everything we wanted in the cabin and that worked great. Crescent Creek was definately too cold to swim or tube in though...maybe later in the summer it's warmer. Our dog loved the creek though. Everything was clean and the owner was very helpful and informative. The area is beautiful and it was very relaxing.

Mark (the owner) went above and beyond in helping us get this cute A-frame cabin on very short notice -1.5 days. He responded very quickly to my e-mail with a phone call and an e-mail. The deck and "dock" right on the creek were great to sit and relax and enjoy the views. A short walk from the cabin takes you to the creek - too cold to swim yet but one could in warmer weather.
No neighbors close by which makes the cabin quiet and secluded. There are many rivers, lakes and trails close by - great spot for swimming, boating, biking and hiking. The interior of the cabin is extraordinarily well lit enabling late night reading or cards/games if one ended up being stuck inside because of weather. Cabin was very clean and well stocked with plenty of everything even T.P.
