If you’re looking for a great getaway where you can relax or have lots to do, you've found it! ** READ OUR GUESTBOOK** Large, clean, modern,well appointed and spacious 7 year old home offers 3 levels of space for the large family located in wonderful Masthope 4 season community. Lower level consists of a family room with oversized couches, woodstove & air hockey table, laundry room & full bath. The main level has a kitchen, dining room, french doors to deck with table & chairs, living room with catheral ceiling, 2 skylights, fireplace & front deck, bedroom & full bath (soaking tub). The 2nd level offers a loft with a hide-a-bed & sliders to balcony, full bath and two bedrooms. Our private 250 acre lake is located in our community and it offers a sandy beach, beach volleyball, fishing, paddle/row boats. Ski Big Bear is located in our community with 18 trails, snow tubing/boarding & lessons for the kids! You receive a 25% discount as our tenants.

Masthope is a 4 season resort! No matter what the season you'll find something to do! You can ski at our community owned Ski Big Bear with 18 trails, snow tubing and snowboarding. Swim, fish, complimentary canoes and rowboats for our guests on our very own private 250 acre lake with sandy beach and snack shack. Newer Olympic size pool and kiddie pool. Newly built lodge offers a sports bar, restaurant, arcade, lounges and endless views of the mountains. Lake and river fishing nearby. Go antiquing in Milford, Hawley or Homesdale. Lake Wallenpaupach is 25 minutes away. Our home is great for the large family!

Notes: 2 queen beds, 2 twins beds, 1 hide a bed, 1 sofa bed. 2 decks and a balcony. Table and chairs and gas grill provided. The living room has a propane fireplace no need to lug in wood just set the thermostat to the desired temperature and enjoy the fire without the work or mess! There is a wood stove in the family room in the lower level. We leave plenty of wood. Rental includes 4 guest passes to use all amenities. Upon arrival all guests must stop at the POC office and obtain their photo id passes. Additional passes are $5.00pp per day or $ 25 pp per week. Horseback riding is available at a nominal fee of $ 20 pp per trail ride, $ 10 pp arena ride (1/2 hour) and $ 5 pp pony rides.

Summers at Masthope: Summers offers much to do: You can take out a paddle/row boat or canoe on our lake, sit on the sandy beach and sunbathe or take a dip in the water, enjoy a snack, play volleyball or take a ride on the community pontoon boat. Take a walk to the lodge (1/2 mile) and enjoy a nice dinner, play bingo, play pool or enjoy your favorite beverage at the bar. The pool offers 2 slides and a diving board (1/2 mile) .There is a separate kiddie pool for the kids!. The stables in our community offer free pony rides. Trail rides are $ 20 pp per hour. Or perhaps you want to just sit on any of our 3 decks and enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the wildlife stroll by or cook up a burger on the grill. The lower level family room has an air hockey table.

Winter at Masthope: You can curl up on the over sized seating in our lower level and enjoy the warmth of the wood stove as you read your favorite book or watch your favorite show on TV. Or perhaps you want to enjoy the propane fireplace in the living room - just set the thermostat for the desired warmth! You can go to the lodge and enjoy a game of pool or ping pong or have a nightcap. Stop by the fitness center and have a massage or use the exercise machines and free weights. Or head to the slopes and enjoy a day or eve of skiing/snowboarding/tubing. Whatever you choose to do enjoy!

Fall at Masthope: The change of seasons here are breathtaking. Be sure and take a stroll on the beach and enjoy the sunsets off the lake. Bring your camera you will capture some of the prettiest scenery for your photo album.

Ski: Come and ski at our very own Ski Big Bear! Ski lessons, snow tubing and boarding and numerous trails for both the beginner and advanced skier. As our tenant you are offered a 25% discount. Iceskating on Masthope's very own pond.

Golf: 10 Minutes to Woodloch Springs Golf and The lodge at Woodloch spa

We hadn't had a vacation for a long time. We took the kids, 9&11, and they had a ball. My daughter cried when we left. The weather was a bit cold and rainy, but the house was like a home. We enjoyed swimming and fishing and playing bocce and volleyball with our friends that also stayed at the house with us. The beach was closed most of the time as it was cold, but we enjoyed it even more because we had the place to ourselves! My kids loved the loft and the finished basement the most. I was really overwhelmed by all the stuff stocked for us. We brought alot of stuff just in case, but all the bedding was supplied, plus there was plenty leftover. Plenty of dishes were available for baking desserts to go with our family dinners, too. We spent a day at shopping and browsing in Hawley. Especially enjoyed the massive statue and replica store. Our only disappoinment was the day we were scheduled to go horseback riding, and the horses were sick, so they had to cancel. But the kids were glad to go fishing again. And I got my favorite crab legs at the restaurant down at the lodge! As my kids say "That house ROCKS!"

Thanksgiving retreat

Our family of 8 comfortably stayed at this home. It was great because of the 3 levels that kept the kids in their own areas. The house was decorated and made it feel like a home. It was sparkling clean. The options of using their linens or bringing your own was great. It was easy to wash everything in the morning of our departure. This area is secluded during off season times. Too early to ski and only and outdoor pool. We were there visiting family, so it didn't matter that there wasn't much going on at the clubhouse.
I highly recommend this property!

Had a great time! My family loved every minute of our stay in Lackawaxen. The house was awesome and very homey. Nice to come back to after a day at the beach fishing and playing volleyball. Took may walks through the community and saw tons of deer. We will always remember our summer 2007 vacation!!!!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

I went up with 4 of my buddies for some relaxing and some fishing. I must say, the house was better than decribed.
We had a great time, fished all day in the river and lake both within the community. Caught a lot of fish and the freezer on site was great to keep them till we left.
I think we will make this a "buddie" tradition!
The decks were expecially nice.
