Casita Cielo Azul is located in the tranquil little coastal pueblo of San Francisco, known locally as San Pancho, in Nayarit, Mexico. Its location, approximately 35 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, provides convenience and an opportunity to “get away from it all” in our quiet, relaxing village.

The first floor at Casita Cielo Azul has 2 separate Casitas available, 'Angela' and 'Kiley'. They offer private bedrooms each with private baths and a full shared kitchen. Each unit has a private terrace leading out to the pool and surrounding shared patio and palapa dining area.
The second floor Casita is ALL ONE UNIT, called, 'Nico'. Nico offers 1 bedroom with a queen size bed and a second bedroom/living room with 2 twin size beds. These bedrooms both have entrances to the shared, double sink bathroom. Also, each bedroom has a door that leads out to Nico's large private terrace. There you'll find a full kitchen and dining area as well as a living/gathering space. A spiral staircase leads guests staying in Nico, to the rooftop deck and kitchen garden where stunning sunsets can be viewed.
Each of the 3 units (2 down, 1 up) can be rented separately or there is a discount offered when multiple units are rented at the same time.
Easy to locate in San Pancho by its distinctive stone wall, built by a local maestro, Casita Cielo Azul offers an atmosphere and setting that provides the perfect backdrop for a tranquil getaway. After stepping through the gate you’ll follow our hand-crafted stone pathway, which meanders through the garden which we have filled with tropical plantings. You will then find yourself on the terra cotta patio surrounding the pool leading you to the house framed in palms.
For years we have traveled extensively throughout Mexico purchasing art and artefacts for our tienda in Evanston, Illinois, Casita Azul. The knowledge gained from staying in various hotels, B&B’s and resorts, has been used to create our home, Casita Cielo Azul. Our philosophy when traveling has always been to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Take a walk, go to the beach, sit on the terrace and read, or do nothing but catch up on your thoughts. With that in mind, our rooms open to the outdoors and we encourage you to get out and enjoy your stay in San Pancho.
Depending on the season, you’ll find a variety of restaurants in town, from taco stands, beach , or fine dining. The beach is rarely crowded, even during high season. There you can enjoy watching the diving pelicans, or sitting under a palapa sipping on something with an umbrella. Catch a glimpse of a passing whale or dolphin, or take a walk down to the estuary, where a variety of tropical birds can be found. At the end of the day don’t miss the opportunity to join the locals on the beach for another breathtaking sunset in San Pancho.
Our house is a quick trip from Puerto Vallarta’s International Airport. When you arrive, grab your bags, hop in cab or if you’re familiar with traveling in Mexico, board the local bus and head out to San Pancho.
