A beautiful newly furnished and decorated home is surrounded by fields, woods and ponds. These peaceful surroundings create the perfect atmosphere for anyone who needs to escape the stress of everyday life. The house includes a spacious living room, five bedrooms, two full bathrooms and one half bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Throughout the house you will find hardwood floors, a large private back yard, and a screened porch perfect for a family meals or entertaining. This house is located one mile from the beaches and two hundred yards from the center of town which has three churches, a grocery and liquor store, library, dry cleaners, pizza shop, local breakfast/lunch eatery, community center, playground, tennis and basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, real estate brokers, police/fire barn and town hall.

About Margo Rush

Our family has lived in Little Compton since the town was settled and we've owned our property for over one hundred years. We have a deep love of family and of Little Compton. The land surrounding our two houses is undevloped. It is also now protected from development thanks to the town and our family! We hope you'll fall in love with Little Compton too.

What makes this house unique

We have an enormous yard (2 acres) that is surrounded by protected agricultural land. You are welcome to bring your dog with our prior approval. Please be aware that we charge a flat fee of $100 if you bring a dog to cover extra wear and tear on the house.

We (my wife and I, two other couples and three little boys) stayed here for a weekend when we were in town for a wedding. It was an absolutely adorable home that was just as advertised - maybe better. The place had a wonderful country home feel and the big yard with views of a vinyard and horses was just delightful. The location (close to town) was great for coffee and snack runs. The owners were wonderfully responsive and helpful all around. Two thumbs up!

Serene and peaceful getaway retreat!

This house is fabulous. It has great character as an antique house and has all the modern conveniences you could need. It was perfect for 5 college friends getting together for a reunion after 30 years. This house is great for couples or for families with children of all ages. The location is ideal; you can walk to Wilburs for coffee, take a good bike ride or short car ride to the town beach or take a pleasant drive to Newport to see the mansions and hang out down by the water to dine at great restaurants. The property is absolutely gorgeous with amazing sunsets from the upstairs deck. Peaceful, tranquil and serene are words to describe this house and location. The owners live in the main house on the property and are wonderful. They are amazingly generous, kind and available for help, yet they are very respectful of your privacy. I cannot wait to go back. Give yourself a gift and go stay for a week - or at least a weekend.

Idyllic Country Retreat

We stayed in this lovely house in Little Compton for a week for the last two summers. It is comfortable, surrounded by fields, walk to the village, bike to the beach. We had great family cookouts there, the owners in the nearby home are delightful offering us herbs from their garden and making us welcome. The kitchen is easy to work in, there is nice outdoor grill and a terrific porch from which to watch sunsets. Peaceful and fun.
