Very Basic

The owners were very nice and helpful with any questions before rental. That is a plus. The home has been freshly painted and there was only one picture in the entire home. Overall, the best description is sparse. The kitchen is fresh and new looking. If you plan to spend much time there, the utensils and dishes have a lot of dried food cooked on them. You will need some things that will not be there such as a corkscrew, just think very basic supplies. The stove cookware is very nice. There is no microwave cookware. The tv channels are pretty basic. Computer hook up is dial up which cost me $3.00/hour on my service and it is dark ages sloooooowwww. It is great to have a washer and dryer around the back yard, but no hot water. It was good to get to bring my dogs. The street is very noisy and I looked at a white car out the window everyday parked in front of the front yard. All of the window coverings are see through yet, they look nice. The back door is a nice window, but I felt exposed and unsure of security with being so visible to anyone who wanted to look in the house. I washed 3 loads of soured laundry that the cleaning service I paid for left in the dryer not dry on arrival. I asked for a portion of the service to be credited to me, but did not get it from the rental agent. The sofa is one that you drop down in and it is hard to get out of. The bed is one that moves alot everytime you touch it, not very comfortable. There are no lamps in the house other than a very nice torch lamp in the dining room. So, when you come into the rooms at night it is very dark. Nice ceiling fans in the living area and master bedroom. Good air conditioning. There are no rugs on the floors which are newly installed laminate which is very slippery for dogs. The master bedroom floor has two unmatching rugs under the bed and concrete type floor. It is a bit of a walk, yet very doable to the end of the lifeguarded beach. If you want washcloths, bring them. The bathroom is old, yet servicable. I would recommend this house for 4 or less people who are used to being together in close quarters. Would I stay here again? Yes, I think it is a work in progress.
Owner's Response: I would like to assure our perspective rentors that as LFOXX states we the owners are very helpfull and we do our utmost to ensure that every stay is a pleasent one. We have had many rentors stay in our house some for two months and have had positive responses. We will respond to comments and will do our best to rectify concerns if they are brought to our attention.We are constantly updating and working on our house and we feel that it is a clean, inviting beach cottage. That is why we purchased it and why we spend as much time as we can there. I hope that you will also.
