The short walk saves you $15 a day in beach parking fees! Newly painted inside and out, the house comes fully equipped with beach toys/chairs/cooler, grill, bikes, outdoor shower and washer/dryer; baby supplies available upon request. Main Street in Chatham is less than 2 miles from the house and has outstanding shops, restaurants, art galleries, parks, band concerts, baseball games and a library that has summer programs for the whole family. Come enjoy a comfortable stay in Chatham and fall in love with our wonderful town on the elbow of the Cape.

Nearby Attractions:: Bike and walk on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Cape League baseball is in full swing from mid June to the first week in August. Visit the playground, wonderful art galleries, bistros, antique shops, nautical stops and candy shops. Watch the Chatham fishermen unload their boats at the local fish pier. Visit the historical Chatham Lighthouse. Fresh water and salt water fishing along the shoreline.

Restaurants:: There are a variety of restaurant choices available in Chatham, as well as in the neighboring towns of Harwich, Brewster and Orleans.

Fishing:: Some of the finest fishing can be found on Cape Cod. We can provide you with a number of fishing spots and local fishing guides.

We enjoyed the rental a great deal. The owners accurately described the amenities and the location for our purposes was very convenient (short walk to the beach, bike ride to twon, proximity to Marions Pie Shop-a definite must do). They had enverything we could have needed, including extra bikes, towels, beach equipment etc.

I think the only drawback from my point of view was that the place and its immediate surroundings were pretty buggy. This primarily has to do with its location, but if bugs bother you, bring some spray.

The property was clean and well fitted out, however the fridge/freezer was noisy and there was noise from the humidifier which was running continuously in the basement. The owner provided good customer service and an accurate description. A car is a definite necessity for anything other than the beach. My husband took advantage of the mountain bike but the ladies bike was not very useable. We were disappointed in the Chatham Squire and Bistro restaurants but pleased with products bought from Marion's Pie Shop. Visits to the Plimouth Plantation, Wellfleet, the National Seashore Centre and Whale watching from Province Town are all activities to be highly recommended. The bus service is incredibly good value and the drivers extremely helpful, however as stated earlier you do need a car if you want to see a lot of Cape Cod. The library in Chatham is great for regular internet access and e mailing. This is a good property for a family beach holiday.
