Kennebunkport Vacation Rental apartment

We had a great time in Kennebunkport and the apartment was perfect for 2 people. 2 minutes walk from the centre of town with all its great shops and restaurants but also with own parking and away from the crowds.

This represented excellent value for the area and Debbie (the owner) made everything very easy for us. The apartment was clean (also cleaned midweek with towel changes) and had everything we needed. The apartment is relatively small but very comfortable with great views of the tidal water and birdlife. Whilst there is no outside space or balcony to sit there is front porch which has seating but this fronts to the road and is enclosed. The apartment is decorated very nicely and has a new kitchen with applicances and everything you would need.

The owners live below the apartment but it has its own door and parking space so is very private.

The area is wonderful - only a couple of hours from Boston but near great beaches (note there is a local parking charge which is expensive in Kennebunk but much cheaper down the road at Goose Rocks beach - 5-10 mins drive from the apartment). You need to get a permit before you can park so be careful.

Kennnebunkport area has all you need within walking distance (although a 5 min drive to a decent supermarket) - lots of great restaurants and very cute local shops. We went in the height of summer so the weekends things were pretty busy but were a lot quieter in the week but there was never a problem walking into a place and getting a table for dinner.

Good places to eat include The Hurricane, The Arundal Wharf, Allisons and Federal Jacks (the latter two being pubs rather than formal restaurants).

York and Portland a good for day trips (both 30 mins in the interstate south and north respectively).

I would recommend this property to a couple.
