This fully furnished cottage is just 1 street over from the quaint Venice walk streets and 4-blocks to Abbott Kinney Blvd. 20 minute walks to Santa Monica’s Main Street for shopping or The Rose Café (Main & Rose), to the beach or to the Venice canals. 12 minute walk to the new Whole Foods Market on Rose & Lincoln. We have 2-adult bicycles, 2-childrens bikes, a bicycle built for 2 and a bike rental store a ½ block away. Beach towels, boogie boards provided for beach . The yard with gardens and a pond with Grecian Goddess fountain housing turtles and gold fish offer a lovely place to relax and wind down. There is a wooden deck with pergola to sit or lie out on with Barbeque and patio table to enjoy the outdoors. We have Wi-Fi, Ipod dock/Stereo and cable with 2-televisions. Very comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. Easy walk to Venice Beach and Santa Monica, good public transport for getting into downtown LA. Friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommended.

The Great Escape

My wife and I stayed here for 3 weeks and it became our home away from home. My sister and her niece came to visit for two days and we had a wonderful visit.
Everything is within walking distance here. We fell in love with Abbott Kinney. We cycled (there are free bikes here) to the beach a few times and loved checking out the area.
The place was spacious, clean, had parking (rare in Venice) and the owner was friendly, helpful and close by to answer any questions. We also met some a lovely German couple who were staying in the same compound. We still stay in touch! Over all - I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Myself and friends visited Venice to celebrate my Birthday. We stayed in the Witzend cottage , it was just as in the pictures. The accommodations were perfect for us. We felt like we were visiting friends but with our own lovely cottage. Everything needed was was supplied. The location was perfect for going out to restaurants/bars, shopping and a walk to the beach. I have recommended the cottage to friends and I'll be back!!

Lovely little bungalow with charming decoration.

The owners are very nice too and there is a tiny court with chickens, rabbits and a cat. Good privicy. Only two minus points, very close to noisy road (Lincoln) and the bathroom.
No tiles, just concrete and that gives a funny smell. It would be a good idea to finish it off.
There is fifteen, twenty minutes walk to the beach and good restaurants and shopping ariound.
