The BEST views in the High Country! If you are looking for luxury and breathtaking views, Appalachian Sky is exactly what the doctor ordered. This amazing cabin offers all the comforts of home along with convenience to town and all the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In the fully equipped kitchen, you will have everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal. After dinner, snuggle up in the living room in front of the gas fireplace or relax in the hot tub and take in the layers of mountains in the horizon. You don’t have to worry about your feet hanging over the bed, this cabin features a large king size bed in one of the main level bedroom and full size bed in the other main level bedroom. Upstairs, you will find a queen size sleigh bed & full bathroom and pool table. Each bedroom also features a TV with satellite. After a long day of vacationing, you will love returning home to Appalachian Sky. Less than 1 hr to the major skiing areas and minutes to shopping.

Check in and Check out Times: Check in 4:00pm and after and check out is by 11:00am. Late check out and early check in times are available for and additional charge. If there is a back to back reservation, no early check in and no late check out are allowed.

Nightly Minimum: We require a 2 night minimum for off peak and non-holiday times.

We requrie a 3 night minimum for holidays and the entire month of October. Holidays that require a 3 night minimum are: Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, and Christimas/New Year,

    Additional fees will apply to the above rates: $40 reservation fee, $65 departure cleaning/laundry fee, $50 pet fee if bringing a pet, $45 Accidental Rental Damage Insurance, and $9.75% tax.
  • Housekeeping fees vary depending on size of cabin. The cleaning fee is optional but should you choose not to pay the cleaning and laundry fee, you will be expected to leave the home in check in condition, including but not limited to sanitizing bathrooms, mopping floors, washing & folding linens, cleaning kitchen and leaving appliances, stove, microwave, etc. clean and ready for the next guest. All units are inspected after each stay and the unit MUST be left in check in condition by the inspector’s standards to avoid being charged a cleaning fee. Housekeeping arrangements must be made in advance to avoid additional charges. If you are paying for a cleaning fee, please do NOT strip the beds, put dishes in dishwasher and start cycle, and place bagged trash outside garbage can OR if there is no outside garbage can, leave in the kitchen. DO NOT LEAVE BAGGED TRASH OUTSIDE.

Fantastic, didnt want to leave

Great views, comfy furniture, open floor plan and clean.
Close to town for the grocery, walmart or the quaint town of W. Jefferson and restaurants; yet far enough away that you don't see or hear that stuff. Property manager is easy to work with and responsive. I would stay there again. We brought one dog, but there isn't a lot of area to run and play outside the property bounds (it's a subdivided neighborhood but there are a few vacant cleared lots next to the house). But a walk up and down the road will wear out any animal as well as the owner. The only difference I noted was the bed in the bedroom #2 is a full size bed, not a queen. I would stay again.

We use Cyber Rentals for a lot of our travels and it boils down to this... whether a place lives up to the description, falls short, or exceeds expectations. Appalachian Sky exceeded our expectations. period. Everything is as described. Well-maintained, well-appointed, beautiful view, etc etc. The town of West Jefferson, a short drive down the hill is perfect to walk and shop. We were able to visit several parks and areas of interest while at Appalachian Sky. Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Linville Caverns...

The manager of the property was also extremely helpful in getting us information, very informative and kind.

We would definitely get Appalachian Sky if and when we head back up to the mountains! Thanks!

This mountain retreat was furnished with everything that you would need for the week or weekend. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dishes. Everything was clean and coordinated. The views from the hot tub, the living room and loft were spectacular. The location is only a mile or so from the town, where grocery shopping was a breeze. Late fall entertainment was limited, but the colors were gorgeous. We found the state park and walked along the river. We also found a small local winery which offered tours and tastings. This cabin is not "in the woods" so it has great views. There are homes nearby, but it is still private. Sitting on the top of that ridge, you truly feel on top of the world. It was an easy two hour drive from Charlotte.
