Photos and Description of the Ualapue vacation condo rental 1 Bedroom - Sleeps 4 - Fully Equipped - Great Kitchen

We have recently completed an extensive remodel of this 1-bedroom condo at Wavecrest Resort. This condo has a great view and convenient access to the extensive gardens and grounds. One unique aspect of this condo is that it looks out to the ocean and Maui through two flowering Plumeria trees (a white one and a red one) which have their branches intertwined. It is the only condo out of 125 that has this uniquely romantic and more private view. Given our condo is on the ground floor it has an added advantage of your being able to walk right out of the living room onto the lanai and then onto the lush grounds without having to walk out of the back of the building and down (or up) the stairs and around the entire building to get to the grounds, pool, BBQ and ocean. The kitchen has new cabinets, nice granite counters and travertine stone floors throughout. The furnishings are nice with extra touches such as reverse osmosis filtered water and a pillow-top king bed.

The Wavecrest facility is located on the south-east side of the island 13 miles from the main town of Kaunakakai. We face Maui and Lana'i which are 8 and 4 miles away respectively across the Maui channel. This places it in the perfect balance of weather to be tropical but not too rainy and not dry at all. Every other condo facility on the island is located in much dryer locations. Wavecrest is by far the best maintained facility on the island and the grounds are kept neat and beautiful all year round by a full time staff of gardeners and maintenance people. Being a little further from town, there are fewer families who stay there with young children. There is a beautifully tiled pool at the shoreline with magnificent views of the islands of Maui, Lana’i and Kaho’olawe as well as the majestic mountains rising up to the crest of the island. An ancient fish pond in front of the complex makes calm, shallow water for about 200 yards out to the reef.

Some of these trips utilize native Hawaiian land or waters and it is best if you have a 'native Hawaiian' guide or you will be considered a 'trespasser'. These people who were born and raised in Hawaii and have spent much of their lives on Molokai, provide rich personal stories along with their expert guidance.

Notes: This condo is fully equipped as a 'home away from home' and not a typical stripped down 'vacation rental' with old pots and pans and broken kitchen utensils. We take pride in offering a fully functional, clean and comfortable home for people who appreciate and respect the same. By the pool are nice barbecues, a tiled food preparation counter with a large sink. The large cabana by the pool is furnished with very comfortable furniture and tables with an extensive library of paperback books to get lost in. From the lanai of our condo you step out onto a large, well manicured, common lawn area. By the pool is a beautiful palm-studded lawn with lounge chairs. This is a great place to have a glass of wine as the day wanes and the lights of Maui and Lana’i twinkle to life across the channel. The two newly surfaced tennis courts a short walk from this unit round out the Wavecrest Resort’s great appeal.
