Charming Cottage Haven with Beautiful Setting/View
I needed a two-night respite while moving out of our Bainbridge Island home, and decided to stay at the Beach Cottage instead of a local motel. What an absolute delight it was. The endless views and change of light throughout the day and evening made me wish I were a painter, or at least a professional photographer, so I could have captured the images for others to enjoy. The decor is sea-side perfection, with the stone-washed hues of denim blue, sand, white, and grey. The queen bed was very comfortable and fitted with beautiful bed linens. The bathroom, with its claw-foot tub and picture window, was really delightful ( bring your own shampoo; hairdryer, towels, and soap are provided.). The kitchen was well-stocked with dishware, glassware, utensils, and cleaning supplies. Coffeemaker and delicious coffee were provided ( I did not have coffee filters during my stay, so used paper towel to brew the coffee, and also had not brought any milk or cream for the coffee, so drank it black). The cottage is located near Lynwood Center, so is walking distance from the Tree House, Pane d'Amore, Island Cool, Vintage Home and Garden, and the historic Lynwood Theater. It has a lovely beach area of its own ( shared with the adjacent larger Beach House, which is also a vacation rental), with its own patio and grill. For bikers and walkers, it is quite close to Leitl Beach and Fort Ward park. I felt completely on my own, yet close to many attractions, which was perfect! When my husband and I return to our beloved Bainbridge to visit, we will hope to rent this cottage !!
