Originally built in 1865, this stylish, spacious, 1 bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor of a newly renovated 'storehouse'. To better preserve the seven renovated doors and transoms surrounding the ground floor, the unit was refurbished as a spacious studio.
This spectacular flat has a private entrance, a courtyard, and boasts approximately 1200 square feet of living space with 12.5 foot ceilings. The apartment is tastefully decorated in an eclectic style; a combination of antique and modern furniture with just the right amount of New Orleans funk thrown in.
The apartment has a fully equipped, eat-in kitchen, a large walk in shower with separate dressing area, WI-FI / Internet connection and a 45' high-definition flat screen TV. Furnishings include a buffet, a dining table that seats four, dressing table, king-size bed, armoire, desk, extremely comfortable leather sofa, love seat and oversize chair and ottoman.
Central air conditioning and four ceiling fans make this space a veritable, breezy oasis for relaxing after jaunts around our beautiful but sometimes humid city.
Even though the apartment is better suited as a two person occupancy, there is plenty of space available to provide sleeping accommodations for two more guests.

I am a lifelong resident of Greater New Orleans and have been building, renovating and managing a portfolio of Investment Properties for over 35 years. Since retiring from the US Government 3 years ago, I am now this property's full-time Innkeeper. I live onsite, and love to accommodate / facilitate the needs of my guests who are visiting my beloved home-town.
This neighborhood is a hot spot where locals come the best of everything New Orleans has to offer - great jazz, amazing food, local art & hand-crafted jewelry. It is the point of origin for several Carnival marching parades and local events.
The historic location in the Marigny Triangle allows you a glimpse into NOLA's historic past beyond the French Quarter as you marvel at the 17th century architecture that has survived the ages and become home to many writers, painters, artists and musicians. This area boasts the unique architecture and inherent beauty NOLA is known for; vividly painted homes, trendy restaurants, coffee shops and jazz clubs with an amazing mixture of all types of people co-exhisting in this vibrant, diverse, urban setting.
