OCEAN VIEW CONDO WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO BEACH WITH USE OF BEACHFRONT RESORT

We really enjoyed our stay in Mary's condo. It met all of our expectations. We found it well furnished and equipped, and spotlessly clean, and only lacked a safe - which we hear has now been installed. Don't be fooled if the agent tells you that you only have access to the Flamingo Marina Resort, which is right below the condo balcony. We went as well to the Flamingo Beach resort, which is on the other side of the condo and on the main white sand beach. We checked in at the reception, and they gave us wrist bands which entitled us to pool/beach towels. We spent most of our mornings here in the pool or on the beach. In the afternoons we went mostly to the Marina Resort, where there were fewer people and more shade, and a delightful little cove beach which was excellent for swimming. The drinks from the bar here were also much cheaper than at the other resort. They had an excellent barbeque, with live music, here one night that was very reasonably priced.
The little "supermarket" just down the road (3 minutes) from the condo was barely adequate, and if we were staying longer we'd have taken a taxi to the bigger one farther away. It was also a bit pricy. For breakfast and lunch it was adequate. In the evenings we found there were plenty of restaurants right nearby, and we went to Mar-y-Sol to celebrate Bev's birthday, which was superb! A couple of nights we also brought in pizzas from the little pizzaria next to the food store, which were very good - we can especiallyrecommend the "spicy Italian". We enjoyed using Mary's DVD player, and watched several of her movies - but the selection is a bit restricted if you were there longer, and we did not find anywhere to rent movies in the community.
We would definitely love to return to Mary's condo one day, and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Stayed at mary's condo week of Nov 22nd 2008. had a lovely time. Such a nice warm place to stay. My Kids loved having there own room & TV. loved making breakfast in the am. and taking in the local places for lunch & dinner. Mar Y Sol is a great place to est (we had Thanksgiving dinner there) the Monkey bar across the street was fun also (2 for 1 happy hour!) also used all the Facilities at the Flamingo resort, great place to watch the sun set and use there large pool. We'll be Back !

We arrived at the condo and were in awe when we walked in. There is a fabulous view of the water and the place had a homey feeling to it.It was nice to make our chorizo and eggs and our coffee in the morning. Then we met our fishing guide in the parking lot of the condo and we fished for 3 days. The 3 of us caught 4 sailfish, 3 mahi mahi, and 150 lbs of yellow fin tuna. We cooked our fresh fish in the kitchen and it melted in our mouth. We also enjoyed the access to the beachfront resort. We sat at the swim up bar and then we went to the casino and did a little gambling. The fast pace of the resort and the quiet hominess of the condo made it very enjoyable.
