Eight can relax in the privacy of a nine room farmhouse. There is a 6 and 12 minute walk to two warm, salt water Northumberland Straight beaches. A child friendly two plus acre yard with sun and shade, two porches, a gas grill and outside faucet provide ample room for outdoor activities and sunset watching. The kitchen is complete with plenty of tools to prepare your favorite home away-from-home dishes. Indoor activities include board games, puzzles, books for adults and children, TV, DVD, VCR and a few movies. Linens, towels, washer and dryer are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Picnic table and chairs are on the front porch for outdoor dining and sunset viewing.

Beyond our Expectations

Committing to a rental property on-line can be a gamble but this property really exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were exactly as described and then some. There was nothing to want for. We had friends visit with us one night and the description of "farmhouse" is very accurate - we we sitting around the huge kitchen table envisaging a family in the past sitting down to a huge dinner - perhaps even Christmas or Thanksgiving. Very warm and cozy atmosphere. Inside there is plenty of room together with the four bedrooms upstairs - there's lots of nooks and crannies for "get away" space as well. The property outside is very private, rather than being in the centre of a "colony" of cottages. Wonderful spot.

PEI has gorgeous sunrises and sunsets especially from the beaches. There is an island wide bike trail, many churches, lighthouses, fine seafood dining and water activities. Water activities include beach combing, clamming, tidal pool exploration, deep sea and pier fishing, kayaking, boating, whale watching & of course swimming in the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. This house is centrally located on the island with a 20 minute drive to Summerside, a 45 minute drive to Charlottetown & a 40 minute drive to Cavendish. Some of the attractions on PEI include the College of Piping where you can enjoy Celtic music and dance. Other festivals and events add to the island's charm. Check out the local antique shops and flea markets for a great deal. Handmade treasures can be found at any of the area gift shops. Of course no trip to PEI would be complete without visiting Anne of Green Gables. 25+ golf courses and an abundance of historic sites will keep you coming back to the island. Enjoy!
