Located in the mountains just 60 miles from Seattle, Mountain View provides a deluxe getaway. It is a recently remodeled northwest chalet style cabin, with the front wall of windows framing an in-your-face view of Mt Baring looming above the clear green water of the Skykomish River. On clear nights you can star gaze from the comfortable sofa in front of a fire. There is a mountain and river view from most rooms of the cabin as well as the private hot tub. The cabin has a wood stove/ fireplace, fully furnished kitchen, comfortable beds, quality linens, fluffy towels, fire ring, high speed WiFi, flat screen TV, rocking chairs, and seasonal fishing right in front of the cabin. The cabin is 30ft from the river on a low bank with easy access, with both gentle rapids and a calm fishing/wading/cold water swimming area. The Stevens Pass Historical District and Greenway is part of the famous Cascade Loop Scenic Drive with spectacularly beautiful rugged mountains covered with an abundance of evergreens that keep it beautiful year round. There are numerous waterfalls and whitewater rivers with crystal clear water. Because much of the area is national forest and wilderness areas, development has been kept to a minimum, making it a great place to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of nature. There are numerous great hiking trails ranging from easy walks through old growth forests to steep climbs to glacial lakes and alpine meadows-some trails are open year-round. The area is not 'touristy', yet attracts thousands of visitors yearly due to the outdoor recreation. The cabin is close enough to Seattle (1.5 hrs) for a day trip. Another closeby attraction is the Bavarian theme town of Leavenworth on the east side of the mountains with unique shops and good restaurants in a mountain setting.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are for single-dbl occupancy/one bed. Each additional person over age 2 is $20/night, $75/wk.
  • Three-night minimum on major holidays at $185/night. Holidays are Valentine Day, Presidents Day weekend, Memorial Day weekend, July 2-5, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving/weekend, Dec 21-29. Midweek & weekly rates not available during holidays.

    Three night minimum July and August.

    Stays shorter than required minimum accepted within 2 weeks of arrival.

    $100 deposit is refundable if cabin is left clean, there is no damage or loss, and policies have been observed.

    Christmas Eve & Christmas are rented together $500; New Year's Eve $350.

    A weekend is Friday/Saturday nights and are rented together unless reservation is for 4 or more nights or one of the nights is not available.

    Anyone under age 21 must be accompanied by their parent. Exceptions are made on an individual basis.

    $10 discount on midweek nights April & November
  • Reservations can be made with a $100 refundable deposit on a Visa, Discover or Master Card. The full amount of the rent is due 30 days prior to arrival. There is a 30 day cancellation/reschedule policy. If a cancellation/reschedule is made less than 30 day prior to arrival there is no refund unless the cabin can be rebooked in which case 90% is refunded as well as the deposit. If a cancellation is made more than 30 days before scheduled arrival date, there is a cancellation fee of 10% of the rent or $50, whichever is less. Credit card must be valid through the duration of the stay.

Check-in and check-out: Arrival time is 5:00pm Departure time is 1:00pm You will be given a door code; go directly to the cabin and let yourself in any time after 5pm. Occasionally an early arrival or late departure can be accommodated at $25/hr.

Pets/Smoking/Allergens: Sorry, there is a strict 'No Pets' policy at Mountain View. Smoking is allowed outside as long as the smoke doesn't enter the cabin and butts and ashes are properly disposed outside. In order to provide a low allergen environment, colognes and incense are not allowed in the cabin. Due to fire danger, candles are not permitted inside.

Romantic Getaway Package: Customized package that can include wine, champagne, sparkling cider, chocolates, flowers, hot tub aromatherapy, cheese & crackers $10-$50.

Ski: Mountain View cabin is located 23 miles west of Stevens Pass Ski Area. Discount lift ticket vouchers are available. The cabin has an equipment storage room.
