Owner's Response: Scorpions are common in the hill Country with the 100 plus degrees temperatures that we have been experiencing it excaberbates the problem as the scorpions are searching for water much like all the other insects and critters. We exterminate our properties on a regular basis to keep this particular issue to a minimum.

The sliding glass door is located on the second floor and has no outside access to it and are glad to have found out about so we could correct the problem and it is now in good working order.

We did get one maintenance call from this guest during their stay regarding a drain problem in the master bathroom and promptly sent our maintenance person to take care of it.

Unfortunately the guest did not inform us or our maintenance person about any other issues at the property; if they had we would have responded as promptly as we did with the drain issue.

My family and I have lived here for over ten years and I have never seen a Coral Snake. We do have Scarlet King snakes which are very similar to a Coral Snakes. The old saying goes red and yellow “kill a fellow” (Coral snake) red and black “friendly Jack” this is the Scarlet King Snake.

Casa Escondida is located on one of the highest hills in Wimberley. The living room is situated to capture the gorgeous views. The owners prefer not to hide the magnificent, panoramic views. Every bedroom in this home has window coverings of either blinds or drapes to provide guest privacy. We sincerely wish that our guests had contacted us with their concerns.
