Ski up the Mountain in the late fall, winter and early spring while playing golf, swimming and sunning in the Valley during the spring, summer and fall! The Tranquility Retreat is located at the base of the mountain in Stoney Creek, the sister community to the Wintergreen Resort. This newly constructed house offers accommodations for multiple families on a wooded acre of property. This beautifully furnished home has five bedrooms with four and a half baths. Three owner suites offer king-sized beds with private baths. A fourth upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed and shares a bath with a fifth bedroom containing a pair of twin bunk-beds . Finally, there is a queen sized pullout couch in the living room. All of the rooms have a cable TV, wireless/wired Internet service and a phone. In addition to the many indoor spaces, there are plenty of outdoor spaces. You will love the large screened deck on the back of the house , the spacious stone patio with a fire pit and hot-tub.

Stoney Creek is a Country Club community offering 27 holes of golf, tennis courts, a community lake and miles of mountain trails. Staying in the valley offers many advantages as the temperature is typically 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the mountain all year round. This means much safer access in the winter and more enjoyable spring and fall temperatures. If you plan your trip right, you can ski up the mountain and golf in the valley during the same vacation. When desired, the resort, mountain golf course, spa, and ski slopes are a short drive away.

The surrounding area offers many attractions including historical sites, caverns, wineries, the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The community shopping strip with grocery, video store and pizza parlor are just minutes away.

Our family of 10 greatly enjoyed the Tranquility Retreat. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms clean. The kitchen was updated and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the wrap around screened in porch where we read books and ate all of our meals. The outside area was perfect for our kids, for roasting marshallows and enjoying the hot tub. The location was also perfect for our family. Just minutes away from Lake Monocan, golf course, bike path and pool at the Club house. We are looking forward to returning each summer.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Spent the weekend with a group of friends to catch up and relax. Very nice house - was even better looking in person. Had a great kitchen, deck, and hot tub. Only wish they had a stereo or an Ipod docking station. Just a minor issue. Would highly recommend and return!
