MY TIA MARIA LAKEFRONT HOME ON GREERS FERRY LAKE

I reserved this property in February for a stay to begin in June. The day before we were to arrive I still had not received instructions on location and how to get key to home. Finally called owner and received a call back 4hours before we were due to arrive. We were instructed that house would be open and key on kitchen countertop. We arrived at house at 5 pm only to find it locked up tight. Another call to owner -- 1 hour later got into house to find out that it was not cleaned after last rental. Another call to owner! Property manager came out with a cleaning lady to strip beds and perform a quick clean-up job. They were super nice but by now all members of our family were cross and tired. To think that we had to pay for this day when the house was not really ours until about 8pm! We all had the feeling that our reservation had been lost and the owner was not interested in us. The home turned out to be a good setup for our family but we still feel that we should have been given a refund for that doomed first day. Next year back to the Smoky Mntns. Cabins are bigger, have more amenities, and are less expensive so you get a bigger bang for your hard earned dollar.
