Eagle's Nest, a unique rental for single vacationers or a pair of traveling companions. Upper level, ocean view master suite is a private designer ‘studio’ apartment (king bed/ full bath) with huge wrap-around private observation deck. Glass block & flanking sliding glass doors flood the apartment with natural light. Private entrance via a majestic spiral staircase. On a quiet dead end road bordered by mangrove and hardwood hammocks. Year-round ocean breezes make the deck a great spot to stretch out on the chaise lounge or hammock and snooze, sun or just read a good book..so spacious, I did my morning jog on it! At night, star gazing is amazing with no city lights and only the sounds of wildlife in the neighboring wetlands. Just below Key Largo and above Islamorda, we offer easy access to both tropical isles yet maintain a private, small town atmosphere overlooking the turquoise Atlantic waters.

A bonefish flat lies less than 100 yd from our dock (amenable to canoe, kayak or poling a shallow draft flats boat) with miles of mangrove shoreline in either direction and only inches of water. A mile from the dock lies a pristine mangrove island (a designated bird sanctuary) ringed by a large flat harboring bonefish, permit and 100+ lb tarpon. If you rent a boat from our local marina, tropical sea flora and coral patch reefs extend out for five miles in depths of only 5-25 ft of crystal clear water for ideal snorkeling. If ocean side is not for you, there is ready access to calm and quiet Florida Bay backwaters through nearby scenic Tavernier Creek.
