BLUE LAKE COTTAGE HOME

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Our favorite was the long balcony that looks out to the water. We had our morning coffee as we watched the peaceful water each morning. Actually, that was a favorite area for reading, napping, and visiting all day and into the evening! The house was very spacious and gave us room to sleep 20! The large kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed eating out on the large back deck. The open living room/kitchen made it possible to gather and not be on top of each other. We were able to have euchre tournaments, games at 2 separate tables and even plugged in our wii for "let's dance"! We really enjoyed using the 2 kayaks, canoe and paddle boats. The kids also got in a lot of ping pong and pool in the evenings. The only negative thing was that the water had some seaweed beyond the dock. We still enjoyed the lake, but did not do much swimming because of that. We did find a couple of fun attractions nearby. We drove about 35 minutes to Silver Lake Sand Dunes. We climbed the dunes and swam in Silver Lake. We also drove an hour north to Ludington State Park to hike and enjoy Lake Michigan beach. Overall, this was a great place to get our 4 families/grandparents together. It was clean and large enough to accommodate us. I would highly recommend this to others, especially as a place to have a family reunion. We hope to make it back someday.
