One Long Beach Cottage

This cottage is so much bigger than we thought! It was laid out so well, was equipped with everything we needed (and more!), and is across the street from the beach. It is only a few minute walk to everything, and not in the middle of all the hubbub. The most perfect location! The place is spotless and felt like home.

My sister and I left our husbands at home and took our kids on a week vacation together (10, 8 and 3 years old). We spent most days at Short Sands beach and a few afternoons at York Wild Kingdom, all just a few minute walk from the house. We grilled outside the house every day, and enjoyed the yard, neighbors, and shopping and eating in town. We also cooked many meals at home and the kitchen was equipped for everything--including a lobster pot and wine glasses! There was both china/glassware and plastic dishes/cups--a nice option with kids.

We loved having a washer and dryer with three kids in the house (and it was so quiet we were able to run it at night.) The dishwasher was a great time saver, and the wood floors made it easy to keep the place clean. The WiFi was a nice amenity, as were the TVs in two of the bedrooms and the family room. Granite counter tops in the kitchen, a dining table to seat 6 or more, FR seating for 5 or more, and a large picnic table outside made it easy and enjoyable for us to entertain our friends when they came to visit for the evening.

We loved this place so much I almost don't want anyone to know about it so it is available when we want it again, but I couldn't do that to the owners. They were so wonderful to us, and really helped make our stay fantastic and relaxing. There is nothing I would change about the cottage, and nothing we could think of that was missing. It was just perfect! We can't wait to return!!!
