This executive home on beautiful Walloon Lake has everything you could want, any season of the year. The all glass front of the home faces west for unforgettable sunsets over the lake. There is a second level deck which is perfect for viewing the lake and sunset. Walloon Lake is the perfect vacation spot in the summer for swimming, boating and sunning because of the clear fresh water. You can sit on the deck, surrounded by towering hemlocks in this pristine wooded setting, listening to the loons call from the lake. Excellent home base for fall color tours with beautiful scenery in any direction you choose to explore. This lake has been the destination of choice for resorters for many generations ~ the cottage where Ernest Hemingway summered as a boy still exists.

Walloon Lake is located in the heart of northwest Michigan's 'Gold Coast' where ski resorts and golf courses abound. It is also just a short, picturesque drive to Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Boyne City and Charlevoix. Mackinac Island's ferry is about an hour drive.

The home has a well-equipped gourmet kitchen complete with breakfast nook overlooking the deck and lake. The home has a master suite with sunken tub and a doorwall that leads to the balcony overlooking the lake; the downstairs walk-out level includes a large bedroom with full size bed and ensuite bathroom, a bedroom with two twin beds and a fourth bedroom with a twin bed. These two bedrooms share a bath. There is also a family room on the lower level.

The living room boasts a full-wall natural field stone fireplace and a dining room is located off the living room. Beautiful views can be had from every room.

What a beautifully decorated, yet family friendly, house to call home while Up North! Some of my favorite memories revolve around food, both preparing and eating. We look forward to celebrating our Birthday Bash (6 birthdays in 5 weeks) each year. It's always fun to take a picnic lunch out to the sandbar and while away an afternoon. If the weather's bad (wait a minute, it'll change); you can play games, read, watch TV/DVDs or take a nap. Be sure to fix s'mores around the bonfire.

I have stayed at this beautiful home for the past several years each summer, and do plan on visiting again with friends! There is a gorgeous view from every room. I love sitting on the deck looking out over the lake or just watching the birds, esp. the hummingbirds! There is a lot to see and do in this area when not out enjoying the water.
