Location: Tawala Mountain House is a beautiful, two-story, three bedroom home in the Woodland Valley area of Phoenicia, close to Woodstock, Kingston and the skiining areas of Hunter and Bellayre.Just over two hours from New York City, the house is secluded from neighbors and from the mountain road with leads to the Menla Retreat Center. There is very little traffic on the deadend road and the many trees surrounding the property gives you a feeling of being in an other world far away from the busy, noisy and polluted cities. The many trails in the vicinity invite you for many hours of hiking. The house sleeps 6 (max 8) people, and has a stone fire place, satellite TV/DVD, beautifully screened porch and a marvelous deck under trees for relaxing, grillling and entertainment. The rental is perfect for families, couples, and people who just want to get away, relax and unwind.
