Cottage is located on South Manistique Lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Cottage is completely furnished except for paper products. Included with the rental is a 14 foot row boat, paddle boat, private dock, barbeque grill, gas grill, fire ring, picnic table, washer and dryer. Cottage is within walking distance to Curtis. Lake is shallow with sand bottom. Great swimming for all. Lake is abundant with walleye, northern pike, perch, bass, and sun fish. Cottage is located right off of snowmobile and ATV trails. Cottage is within a short drive to many of Michigan's greatest attractions including; Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Fayette State Park, Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Big Springs, Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum, Soo Locks and Mackinac Island.

Cottage was as listed, very clean and quiet. Lots of things to do in the area. Would have liked curtians on the door and kitchen window-kind of disturbing at night for me (may not bother others). Other than that, we had a wonderful time there. Everything was just as listed. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in UP country.

We had a great vacation. Everything is just as it states. Plenty of toys for kids, and a lot of perfect swim and play room in the lake. We would recommend to most any family.

Lake Cottage in Curtis

This was a very nice place to stay, everything was found as listed. The owners were very friendly as well. The cottage was very clean and nicely furnished, everything that you would require for a stay. The location was great, right on the water with a nice swimming area. And the next door neighbors were friendly as well. The town of Curtis was also great, and is close by to many attractions. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the U.P. Only caution would be to consider the black fly season, during our stay they were just coming out and not quite a problem yet.

WE'VE STAYED HERE TWICE. GOING FOR A THIRD TIME SUMMER 2008. CABIN IS CLEAN, NEAT AND VERY ACCOMODATING WITH PLENTY OF ROOM. CURTIS IS THE PERFECT LOCATION TO SEE ALL OF THE U.P. FROM MACINAW TO SAULT SAINT MARIE TO WHITE FISH POINT TO PICTURED ROCKS. THE LAKE IS RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR AND IS VERY PEACEFUL AND GREAT FOR FISHING AND SWIMMING! I RECOMMEND BRINGING GROCERIES, BEVERAGES, ECT. FROM HOME AS GROCERIES ARE LIMITED TO A FEW SMALL STORES IN CURTIS. WE ENJOY OUR STAY EVERY TIME!! PEACEFUL, NO LARGE CROWDS, QUITE, RELAXING, NOTHING FANCY, JUST RIGHT!

Cottage clean and comfortable. Owners very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. My friend had Dodger Dog with her as owner had permitted. He sure loved the shallow, sandy beach. Laid right down in the water and he's not a water dog!! The area is nice and quiet ... great for relaxing and soaking up the sun. My only recommendation would be to get new beds and leave a little space in the cupboards for renter's food.
