Located in the tennis and beach resort of LaPaloma this is the spot for beauty and romance in northern Baja. Feel sure that your time will be very special and remembered for whale, dolphin, people watching or walking in the gardens or beaches. Smell the star jasmine and enjoy the beauty of this landscaped heaven on earth. Shopping is the cheapest in Tijuana 20mi. Eating Lobster is best 8mi. to Peurto Nuevo. Visit Fox studios 3mi. Surf here or at world famous K36 (6mi.) Ride horses, para sail, 4 wheeler drive, or peer-walk on local beach. Swim, play pool, work out or play horseshoes at main clubhouse. Have a party in one of the two club houses that overlook the beach or in one of the two clubhouses poolside. Barbacue there or on my veranda.

Located on the southern tip of Rosarito. La Paloma is over 500 privately owned units close to Fox Studios, Puerto Nuevo, AM PM (across the street), and 50 miles from Ensenada. Surfers know k-38 has worldwide recognition for long breaks with northern swells and is only 10 kilometers south. Surfing can be fun here as well. Fishing is best on deep sea boating from Ensenada but I have seen 5 flounder caught within 20min. on the local beach. Rosarita is a 5-10min. beach walk away and there is a restaurant on site. Great golfing within 5mi.

  • Master bedroom #1 has sliding glass door through which can be heard the ocean waves and wind. This veranda has beautiful acoustics with sound proof outer walls. The second bedroom has the two twin beds and separate shower and toilet. There are 2 Ritan couches for smaller sleepers in living room. Also there are thick sleeping bag type blankets for carpeted floor sleeping. There are also 2 bean bags. The master shower is a large walk-in with the availability of a chair to be added.

Notes: Picture #4 is a view from the living room looking out the window wall that leads to the veranda. The sleeping is basically arranged for 4 in beds. Smaller people may sleep on couches, carpeted floor with throw mat, or bean bag. Internet access is in the World International Vacation Club office or dialup is available with wifi in the room. Pool tables in main club house. Towel changes, beach towels, and cleaning services are extra and are available through the Baja-Se Rental office. Beach lounges are only available on the cliff near the horseshoe throwing area overlooking ocean.

Transportation: Best To Have Own car. Cars can be rented by several companies in San Diego for travel into Mexico. Insurance can be taken out on your own car on the Internet or at last exit prior to border crossing. After crossing the border stay to the right and follow signs to scenic highway Ensenada. The other route is the free road to Ensenada. It is accessed by following Ave. Revolution south up the hill turning left at the end, then following signs to Ensenada. There is Van service from San Diego airport and Bus or trolley to T.J. and buses from T.J. to Rosarito beach Hotel. Van rental from San Diego Airport 011-52-661-612-0144 extension 623.

Getting to Town House: Check in : 3pm out: 11am -follow scenic highway to the 2nd La Paloma sign (the 5th and last Rosarito exit). Inside the security gate make the first right then the 2nd right. Park in space 314 which is about 5 spaces up on the left. The unit is in the middle of the first floor.

Surfing and Fishing: KM (kilometer) 38, is just 10km south of La Paloma and is world famous for the 200 yard reef break with northern swells. KM 36, can be really good for boogy boarding or body surfing. The beach on property can be good for surfing on many days, just stay well to the right (north) of the red arrow warning sign to avoid rocks. On high surf days be careful of undertows (flippers advised) in areas towards town. Flounder fishing is good in front of property. Others can be caught off deep sea boat rentals in Ensenada.

Golf: The 27 HOLE 'pebble beach' of Baja is located just about 5 miles north of Rosarito AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Then there is the T.J. golf course designed by the same guy that did the course in Augusta where they play the first major every year.

The property was well maintained, clean and very well equiped. I was just there with family. The location is good, it's not right in down town Rosarito, so therrefore it's not so noisy but it's not to far away either. All the Stores are 5 minutes driving, beach is 3 minutes walking. The owner meet out needs, he was very profesional and gave us detail instructions on how to get there, where to get the keys.

This is a nice place to stay, real clean and quiet. People at the Paloma resort are nice and corteous and the condo is perfect. I will definetely rent this place at any time for any type of vacation.
