Great Exuma Vacation Rental cottage

My family stayed at Casuarina House for 10 days in May of 2008. We wished we could have stayed forever. The cottage is outfitted with everything one could ask for, is located on one of Great Exuma's most beautiful beaches (and there are a ton of them), has exceptional views, and is only 10 minutes from George Town (making dining and shopping a breeze.) The property is very private (so private you can't even see the next property), making it perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. The on-island property managers (Doug and Wendy) were truly accommodating and helpful. Comfortable beds. Lovely furnishings. Windows and patio doors on all four sides allow the breeze to flow through the entire house night and day (though there is air conditioning for those very hot days.) The excellent location puts you in close proximity to everything (although a car rental is necessary because there is no public transportation.) Our only complaint? The water is so mesmerizing and the white sand beach so dazzling it was actually tough to focus when attempting to read (the view was just too distracting.) In summary, an exquisite cottage, on an exquisite island, with exquisite views and water. Having travelled the entire Caribbean it is without question our favourite place in the world. My daughter fell in love with the swing on the porch and spent hours there listening to her ipod, drawing and reading. We'll be back. Sooner rather than later.
