Hale Ono Loa Resort: Enjoy the beautiful swimming pool surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage. Snorkel, dive, fish, surf, or kayak right out in front of the condo complex. Fantastic whale watching during whale season. Complex has a small library so you can enjoy the latest books while you are relaxing at Hale Ono Loa. Hale Ono Loa is a secluded paradise. The resort features a special elevated ocean-side sundeck with a great ocean view perfect for watching whales in winter and sunsets year round. An elevator services all floors from the inside lounging area in the lobby. Laundry facilities are available on the property. Amidst the tropical palm tree setting are yard games, barbecue facilities, and one of the largest pools in the area. Children just love the grassy area with shuffleboard. Adults enjoy the shaded tables for a quiet reading area. Wonderful pool area with lounge chairs to relax and enjoy your favorite book in. Take a dip in the pool!
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM: (FOR FIRST ENTRY & AVAILABLE FOR SUBSEQUENT ENTRIES)
The Owners issue IN WRITING to each Guest party a 6-DIGIT NUMERIC ACCESS CODE to enter on the door-mounted ELECTRONIC KEYPAD to unlock the front door FROM THE OUTSIDE. Each time the 6-DIGIT NUMERIC ACCESS CODE is entered, the front door lock unlocks for 15 SECONDS and then automatically relocks itself. The 6-digit numeric access code is VALID throughout the ENTIRE DURATION of the Guest party's Stay and can be entered on the electronic keypad to unlock the front door lock from the outside an UNLIMITED number of times.
STANDARD KEYED ENTRY SYSTEM: (AVAILABLE FOR SECOND & SUBSEQUENT ENTRIES)
Once inside the Unit, the Guest party finds PHYSICAL keys to the Unit and to the Pool Area. The front door lock can be unlocked from the outside by a PHYSICAL KEY TO THE UNIT in the ordinary familiar way. In other words, after the FIRST ENTRY, each SUBSEQUENT unlocking of the front door lock from the outside by the Guest party MAY (at the Guest party's elective) be accomplished EITHER by its use of: (1) PHYSICAL KEY, OR (2) 6-DIGIT NUMERIC ACCESS CODE.
This Unit (Hale Ono Loa 415) is on the top floor of the South Wing and centrally located in the overall large-scale architectural scheme, and with this location (Location, LOCATION!) come many desirable characteristics for vacationers (some of which are discussed herein) that naturally timelessly persist in perpetuity enduring totally uninfluenced by anything anybody has done, does, or can do. Beyond this intrinsic relative quality of the space and in COMMENSURATION therewith, the Owners further enhanced and perfected their Unit by completely refurbishing all aspects of the interior, thereby providing every improvement, modernization, luxury, facility, appliance, and capability their hearts desired. Thus, this Unit NOT ONLY has inherent rare quality based upon its location, BUT ALSO has: (a) a SUMPTUOUS DELUXE REAL INTERIOR with exquisite design, construction, and craftsmanship, and (b) a rich comprehensive set of high quality appointments, furnishings, and amenities.
FULL-SIZED REFRIGERATOR / FREEZER / AUTOMATIC ICEMAKER
Refrigerator cools its contents to just the right temperature (slightly above water's freezing point) and then maintains that perfect temperature; Freezer cools its contents to a very cold freezing temperature (significantly below water's freezing point); and Automatic Icemaker produces a never-ending supply of fresh, easily-accessible, very cold ice.
SUPERIOR PERSISTENT 24/7 MOTOR DRIVEN SHOWER/BATHROOM VENTILATION
The effects of the above-stated conclusion are summarized below.
(1) The bathroom tends to stay VERY DRY. (Damp towels hung on the towel racks and dampened bathroom mats will dry out very quickly, etc.)
(2) The Unit as a whole remains particularly FRESH AT ALL TIMES. (EVEN IF all the exterior doors and windows were closed up tight and weather sealed for extended periods, there is an unstoppable PERSISTENT 'SHORT LOOP' (minimal length loop) (through our unique and now unusual Kitchen Vent) which allows the bathroom vent to draw air at its FULL CAPACITY AT ALL TIMES 24/7.)
(3) During showers, all evaporating water vapor is IMMEDIATELY EVACUATED, such that IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RAISE THE HUMIDITY IN THE SHOWER SUBSTANTIALLY. This VERY UNUSUAL TRAIT is a consequence of several factors as follows. (a) The vent intake is ONLY 3 INCHES AWAY from the shower head (where the evaporation rate is at its greatest). (b) The vent flow rate is unusually high (explained later). (c) The vent intake DIRECTLY draws air from the interior shower volume in an unusually large proportionate amount (because the vent intake is DIRECTLY ABOVE the shower volume (specifically, the metal vent intake is WEST of the shower arm, is LESS THAN 1 FOOT from the SOUTHWEST CORNER of the bathroom (AND LEADS STRAIGHT UP TO THE STACK FAN)) and is positioned ONLY 1 INCH above the upper extremities of the shower enclosure which extend a towering 84 inches above the unit's floor.) (d) When the shower door is closed, although water cannot escape the shower module, AIR FREELY FLOWS IN on 3 sides of the door including: east (center) & BOTTOM. The above factors contribute to the phenomenon that the ENTIRE SHOWER AIR VOLUME is THOROUGHLY REFRESHED (WITH NEW DRY AIR) at an UNUSUAL VERY HIGH turnover rate 24/7, thereby optimally eliminating moisture.
THIS IS GREAT FOR YOU because Hawaii is already a humid place, and you will be VERY REFRESHED by taking a shower as hot and as long as you want without EVER having to breathe any steamy mist or feel like sweat is precipitating onto you. Think windswept warm/(cold/hot/whatever-you-want) outdoor waterfall. It is also impossible for condensation droplets to form on the ceiling, walls, frosted enclosure, or floors.
To further aid in circulation, there is a 3-speed reversible six-blade fan which partially overlaps the OPEN TOP shower volume. When it is turned on and (1) pushes down there is more of a swirling/vortex feel in the shower, or (2) pulls up there is more of a updraft/freefall feel.
Hale Ono Loa's South Building was (of course) designed and built and is maintained (during normal operating circumstances) SO AS to provide at least an ADEQUATELY SUFFICIENT LEVEL of bathroom ventilation to ALL 24 of the one-bathroom units therein. For the purposes of this discussion, 'bathroom ventilation' for each subject unit refers to the CAPABILITY of achieving a NON-ZERO AIRFLOW rate FROM the bathroom THROUGH a dedicated metal vent (which is identical in shape including length (*but not identical in horizontal or vertical placement*) for all subject units) having an INTAKE within the bathroom and an upward facing OUTLET ***SOMEWHERE*** within the substantial volume that the pertinent STACK FAN pulls from. Since the bathrooms are generally rectangular and are surrounded on three sides by the other rooms of the unit and on the remaining side by an 'interior' wall (without the BUILDING EXTERIOR on the other side), NONE of the subject unit's bathrooms have (or could ever be modified to have) direct exterior openings (such as windows to the outside), and therefore the bathroom ventilation (as defined above) plays an important role with regard to airflow (& moisture control) within the bathroom.
Bathroom ventilation to all subject units is powered by and flows exclusively through the 'STACK FANS' on the roof (directly above the top (4th) floor units). The Stack Fans were upgraded during the recent building renovation, & the new stack fans are whisper-jet quiet yet pull very hard indeed, since they must pull air adequately THROUGH THE SUBSTANTIAL VOLUME from the 3rd Floor vent outlets about 9 FEET away, from the 2nd Floor vent outlets about 18 FEET away, and all the way up from the 1st Floor vent outlets about 27 FEET away. THE WHIRLING STACK FAN BLADES ON THE ROOF SPIN ****ONLY A FEW INCHES AWAY ^^^^^& DIRECTLY ABOVE^^^^^ the Unit's TOP FLOOR VENT OUTLET****, thereby STRONGLY & PERMANENTLY coupling the FULL FORCE of the LOW PRESSURE (SUCTION SOURCE) directly below the blades to the TOP FLOOR VENT OUTLET.
In a nutshell, (although the ventilation system was specified out so as to be at least adequate for all units), due to the designed configuration of the system the suction on the TOP FLOOR UNITS exceeds the level that was deemed to be adequate for all units.

SUPERIORITY OF THE ACCESS MODEL:
The KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM and KEYED ENTRY SYSTEM are entirely parallel systems, provide identical functionality, and thereby serve as BACKUPS to one another for the Guest parties. The cross redundancy of the KEYLESS SYSTEM and KEYED SYSTEM and some of the unique characteristics of the KEYLESS SYSTEM together provide a number of advantages to the Guest parties over an ordinary lock system (having only a physical key facility). Among those advantages are that: since the Guest party's KNOWLEDGE of the 6-digit numeric access code CANNOT be locked inside the Unit while the Guest Party is outside the Unit, a responsible Guest party that remembers their 6-digit numeric access code IS NOT ABLE TO 'lock themselves out' (such that they require assistance from anyone to regain access to the Unit) under ANY circumstances EVEN IF THEY LOCK THE PHYSICAL KEYS INSIDE.
Moreover, in addition to being redundant to one another, each of the KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM and the KEYED ENTRY SYSTEM is backed up by multiple levels of simple fail-safe procedures, contacts, and facilities in the obvious and traditional ways.
The Owners have relied on the above-described systems in each and every one of their HUNDREDS of rentals to Guest parties since 2006, and have NEVER NEEDED to resort to ANY of the multiple levels of fail-safe procedures, contacts, or facilities for EITHER SYSTEM; NO GUEST who rented from the Owners HAS EVER BEEN LOCKED OUT for any reason for even the slightest instant of time; and NO ACCESS CODE that the Owners have EVER issued to ANYONE has EVER failed to perform as promised WHEN USED AS AUTHORIZED during the periods of time that such authorization was granted by the Owners.

Superb Panoramic Oceanview: This particular unit boasts the ultimate oceanview available in a one-bedroom condo at Hale Ono Loa whether viewing from the lanai or from inside the unit in terms of each of the following metrics: surface area of ocean visible (square feet or square meters); two-dimensional angular size of oceanview, parallel to the horizon (degrees or radians); and three-dimensional angular size of oceanview (square degrees or steradians). Additionally, from within the unit, the mirrored wall increases the angular field of view of the Pacific Ocean and the island of Lanai.

We had a great trip ! Down the road accross from the beach park is a "Boss Frogs" store where you can get scuba gear rentals & great deals on tours or advise for your Maui adventures . They also gave us their wifi password which helped ! There is also an AWESOME organic grocery store there w/ a salad bar for picnic lunches or light snacks . They make fresh guacamole & salsa AH-MAY-ZING !! Glad we found that place early .

Makenna Beach & other beaches in Kihei Ahihi Bay ! Airport Beach had awesome snorkeling ! Road to Hana , must see black sands beach & red sand beach was so cool , but nudies there , which was okay for us but not everyone ! Molokini was cool . Must go to "Fleetwoods on Front Street" rooftop bar , they have great ppl and a great view ! Great view here , it was a good affordable place to rest our heads
