Vacation in Paradise. If you love the outdoors this is the place for you. The property is located at the foot of the Caribbean Rain Forest ( El Yunque). This beautiful penthouse unit has 3 spacious bedrooms. This third floor unit has a balcony with a terrace above that has a great view of the caribbean ocean. The complex is beachfront, has outdoor pool, tennis court, basketball court, playground and has 24 hour security. It is in a quaint fishing village of Playa Hucares which is in the town of Naguabo and has local restaurants that serve fresh seafood and local cuisine. It feels like paradise with the conveniences of home. Go fishing, golfing, swimming, kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, or take a ferry in Fajardo to one of two islands (Vieques, Culebra) and spend the day snorkeling, scuba diving or sunbathing. Visit the nearby casino or shop in stores like JC Penney, Sams Club, Wal-Mart, or just catch a movie. Don't forget to spend the day sightseeing or shopping in San Juan.

Cala de Hucares is nestled between the mountains and the caribbean ocean. All the views are beautiful. On a clear day you can see Mono (Monkey) island and Vieques which is right off the coast of Naguabo. You can tour for the day or just relax in the pool or beach. There are festivals all year long in Naguabo with music, food and live entertainment. The rain forest is your neighbor. Spend the day exploring it and find the water falls . If you like sailing and fishing you can rent a boat for the day out of the Marina in Fajardo. And of course shopping is always close by. While you are exploring enjoy the different flavors of the island and taste the local cuisine. Puerto Rico has a lot of history and you can tour many of their forts such as El Morro which is in San Juan and one not to be missed. Bring your comfy shoes and lots of water.

Hiking/Kayak/Water Parks: If you like nature trails spend the day going thru the rain forest (El Yunque). The entire family will enjoy this. You will find water falls with swimming holes to refresh yourself. There is a natural reserve a few minutes south that you can go kayaking in the Humacao Wildlife Refuge. The Ceiba Forest is just a few minutes north and has mangrooves and manatees. There is a family water park in Salinas (Parque Olympico) which is approx 30 min south.

Golf: Like golfing? There are two great golf courses nearby. El Conquistador in Fajardo is just 10-15 min north on Route 3 and it has a great course. Palmas De Mar in Humacao is a few miles south with another great course.

Beaches /Islands: Cala de Hucares is a beachfront community and has access to its own beach. But if you prefer more activity there are several beautiful beaches nearby. To the north is Luquillo Beach which is great and offers horseback riding. Just a few minutes south is Punta Santiago in Humacao with a small water park. There are ferries that depart from Fajardo that will take you to 2 beautiful islands (Vieques, Culebra) where you can spend a day and have fun snorkeling, scuba diving or swimming.

Could not have had a better time! We are renting again 1/08. Glenn and Dalia are like family and eager to help make your stay the best it can be. Clean nicely equipped with everything you need. Beach is private and steps from condo. The 3rd floor sundeck is awesome for drinks and views. Get to know the locals in Naguabo and you will have a blast! Our 2 boys(11 & 13) can't wait to come back. Don't miss the rainforest and Luquillo beach daytrips. We could have stayed forever!
