This place is great! It is a cottage in the truest sense. My parents, my in-laws, and best friend and his wife all came up at different times over the long Labor Day weekend. We had plans to go out to eat and spend time in South Haven but enjoyed the tranquility and scenery so much we shuttled people out to get groceries. We grilled and spent time together. Everyone had a blast. We really did not leave the entire weekend. There are 70ft trees towering over the deck. It was amazing sitting in the jacuzzi staring up at them. It is probably gorgeous in the fall. I am an avid golfer and I wanted to golf at Hawkshead, but instead took out the row boat on the lake and went fishing. I would like to also add, that the beds are very comfortable. We have a small pooch, which they welcomed as well. They have a fenced in backyard. Perfect for a city pooch that may not want to come back after a taste of the good life. Its very nice of Carter and his family to share this wonderful place. My family and I hope to return.

Thanks for the kind words. We are so glad your family enjoyed your stay. Zoe and I had a good laugh about you folks not wanting to leave. We have a phrase for that. We call it the Lake House effect. I have actually stayed on property within leaving for two weeks. Serious culture shock we I returned to Chicago, but well worth it. Hawks head is a must when you come back. Great course.
