Les Colombelles is an excellent small private domain situated on the sunny and tranquil hillside of Les Issambres on the Cote d'Azur. It is near the beaches, (under 5 minutes drive from the beach in Les Issambres) shops, restaurants and other local amenities in town and within easy reach to all the major resorts of the French Riviera.

Built in the Provencal style, the house is excellently positioned, south facing with uninterrupted views of the conservation areas in front of the domain and the sea.

This lovely holiday home has recently been awarded 4 star by the Etoiles de France, the official classification by the French Tourist Board.

The house is comfortably furnished to a high standard and tastefully decorated in contemporary décor with good quality furniture and light fittings. The lounge has rattan sofas, coffee table, lamp tables, dinning table, dinning chairs and a large sideboard. There is also a TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi.

It has three bedrooms upstairs. The en-suite bedroom has a 5 ft bed, bedside tables, table lamps, a chest of drawers and built in wardrobe. The other two bedrooms have twin beds, bedside table and bedside lamp, chest of drawers and also built in wardrobe. Two of the bedrooms step out onto a large sun trenched terrace where you can get away from it all with a book or simply enjoy the lovely views and the last of the evening sun while sipping a glass of chilled Provence rosé.

The house also benefits from having a covered terrace, adjacent to the lounge on the ground floor and it steps out onto the private garden. It is excellent for alfresco dining and for soaking up the Mediterranean sun throughout the day.

The modern kitchen is well equipped with all new and quality appliances.

There is private parking as the property has an integral garage and also an utility room.

Les Colombelles, a gated domain just 5 minutes away from Les Issambres is very well maintained and beautifully landscaped with palm trees, plants and shrubs.

It has a kidney shape communal swimming pool with a large shallow end, ideal for young children. There is also a pool house with toilet facilities.

Voila! We have moved to the Dordogne with our Westie called Toto at the end of September 2010 after extensive searches on the internet, numerous house hunting trips across the channel to call on immobiliers and to view all the potential properties. It has taken us 10 years to achieve our dream of living in France. We were both directors of a company and after 22 years of running our own business, we were looking forward to a breath of fresh air, a new way of life which invariably meant plenty of challenges in a new country which we have visited so often and adored since we first set foot in France many moons ago.

Why Izzie Lui chose Les Issambres

Les Colombelles is set on the hillside of the coastal down of Les Issambres, half way between Cannes and St-Tropez. This holiday home is extremely well situated for visiting and touring all the famous hotspots on the Cote d'Azur and the hinterland of Var. The location is quiet and peaceful. In the height of the summer, it provides a haven to the hustle and bustle of the coastal towns below. You will enjoy looking at the beautiful sun rise and sun set; the colour of the light throughout the day and the gorgeous blue sky. The views of the conservation and the Gulfe de St- Tropez is fantastic to wake up to.

Les Issambres is a very pleasant small town with a lovely beach, excellent beach restaurants and bars where you look out onto the sea and watch the world go by. It has excellent boulangeries for the morning croissants and daily fresh baguette. There is also a sailing centre with courses in sailing for children, and other amenities such as banks, a chemist and weekly markets.

Without having to venture far into the hinterland, the hills behind Les Colombelles provide plenty of good walks. One enjoys the best of both world while staying in Les Colombelles. The sun, the sea, lovely sandy beaches, excellent walks along the coastal paths and in the hills which offer beautiful scenery and stunning landscape.

What makes this house unique

The Cote d’Azur has 300 days of sunshine a year. The Var region is beautiful, devised and interesting. It has some of the best sandy beaches in France backed by the massifs of rocky hills and thick forests and a delightful shoreline with red cliffs and small bays. The famous resorts such as Nice, Cannes & St-Tropez are just a short drive away from Les Colombelles. The area offers many other attractions such as the Roman settlement, perched villages, the Gorge du Verdon, art galleries of 19th century works of art, museums, churches, as well as festivals and carnivals. Come in February and March to visit the Nice Carnival, the Fete de la Mimosa and the Fete du Citron in Menton. In the summer, there are plenty of activities for everyone on the French Riviera, swimming, sailing, diving, water skiing, golfing and hiking. And for those who love sea food and fine wine, it is hard to beat the masterpiece of bouillabaisse accompany with a nice bottle of chilled Rosé. There are plenty of chateaux and vineyards close by where you can sample and purchase the delicious local wines to enjoy during your holiday and to load up your car to take home. The fabulous Mediterranean cuisine and the gorgeous Provencal wine, all contribute to a fantastic and memorable holiday in the South of France.

What a Vacation !

My wife and I have just returned from touring of the beautiful south of France. We stayed for 1 week in this very charming holiday home between Cannes and St Tropez and used this as our base to explore the famous resorts. It is located on a quiet spot but very convenient to get into town for shops and great restaurants. The property is so sunny and has unobstructed views of the valley and the sea. It is very clean and well furnished. We had nice strolls on the beach, along the coastal paths and in the hills behind the domain. The domain of Les Colombelles is just charming..! This was one of the best vacation we had and we highly recommend it.

Stunning Beautiful Relaxing lovely villa

Absolutely perfect, wonderful balcony with views over the sea, quiet relaxing pool, lovely well aportioned villa exceptional value with 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms which matters with family, gated community, lovely living space, comfort and for us, just perfect. I would not only highly recommend this accommodation but cannot wait to return. The area is serviced by scenery and beauty, Spar shop and Elf gas station within a few minutes and a beautiful village with restaurants and novely weekly market, close to Cannes, St Tropez, Port Grimaud Antbes and easy excursion into Italy. A Pleasant Resort !

The view was fantastic from the house. Even though it was September, it was warm enough to enjoy the pool. The house was clean and very well-equipped. We went to Cannes, Nice and took a boat trip across the Gulf of St Tropez to St Tropez. We had a great holiday and would highly recommend staying at Les Colombelles

Fantastic Holiday!

We are two couples and had a fantastic holiday in the south of France staying in this well-furnished house with lovely views. The house provided everything we needed for our holiday, very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. It is so convenient for the beaches and easy to get to places like St Tropez and Cannes. One week was just not long enough! It was sad to leave and we are already thinking of booking again for next year!

A Great Palce to Stay!

We are a family of 5 and had a great holiday staying in Les Colombelles. The house was comfortably furnished and clean and we loved the view. We had the sun all day long on the terrace and the garden. The gated domain was quiet and very well kept. The pool was great for our 4 years old as it had a large shallow end. The location was fantastic. It took us only 5 minutes to drive into town which has a nice beach and also 5 minutes from the hills where we enjoyed our walks.

Les Issambres is a very pleasant and picturesque small town along the coast of the Cote d'Azur. It has sandy beaches, a marina, a sailing centre, excellent restaurants, bakeries, shops, banks and a weekly open market. It is under an hour drive from either Nice or Toulon airport and midway between Cannes and St Tropez. Perfectly situated for visiting major resorts and attractions such as Antibes, Frejus, Ste-Maxime and Port Grimaud. A short boat ride across the gulf of St Tropez will take you to the famous St Tropez. The Massif des Maures with their deep forests of pines, chestnuts and cork is just a short drive inland from Les Issambres. There are also numerous picturesque villages nearby that are worth exploring and plenty of rewarding drives with gorgeous views, landscapes and stunning coastline. Not to mention the vineyards and châteaux where you can sample and purchase the delicious Provence Rose to enjoy during your holiday and to load up your car to take home.
