Casoli Villa Rental Photos and Description

Avoid disappointment! Book now for winter breaks and summer 2015.

Entrances up and down are independent of each other and totally private.

The spaces are airy , light and the villa is luxurious and well equipped.

The surroundings are breathtaking ,magical.and a fine example of the unspoiled greenest region in Europe.

25 minutes to the warm Adriatic beaches.

A perfect haven to escape from pollution and noise.

Abruzzo is a stunning region to explore at a fraction of the cost of many Italian beach resorts.

A naturist beach has opened this year close to La Morgue beach, and we too welcome naturists at the Villa.

The Villa has dining al fresco facilities, a BBQ area and loungers for the pool and for those 'sopra' a magnificent huge deck. There is a fireplace in the main downstairs bedroom for romantic winter nights.

There's a ski resort, Passo Lanciano just 40 minutes away. Ski instructors, lifts, fabulous fun for the family at a fraction of the price of other touristic areas in Italy. There are wonderful restaurants in the mountains and the drive there is scenic and beautiful forest lands.

The climate is superb, with hot summers and mild winters.

We harvest our own single estate ,cold pressed virgin olive oil, and beyond the olive grove there are many good walking trails on the property.

There are an abundance of restaurants to sample authentic local cuisine, both close to the Villa and lining the coast. There are restaurants with 2 course meals including wine for just €10 pp. Alternatively, dine in style in Michelin rated restaurants, or try an evening of fish delicacies at a Trabocco restaurant.

The people of Abruzzo pride themselves on their unique and delicious dishes.

There is one of the largest caves open to the public, in Europe, lakes for fishing, hiking trails, horse riding, wine tasting and authentic Italian shopping and markets. If sightseeing's your thing, there are numerous medieval castles, historical sites, and an array of towns , villages and cities within easy proximity.

Every Friday there is a bustling market in Casoli, brimming with fresh produce, local cheeses and colourful stalls. If you miss that one, Sunday morning in Guardiagrele it's buzzing with activity around the market and many quaint shops, old rame (beaten copper) and coffee bars. There you will also find a wonderful example of a Gothic church.

We're able to organize personalized day trips, be it lunch on a yacht, fishing trips, or a course of cooking lessons. Booking necessary in advance.

Most of all we pride ourselves on Villa di Stelle being a wonderful retreat. It's filled with our artworks and array of special pieces collected over many years. The view is unparalleled , a haven for naturists. and those seeking peace and tranquility.

About Chris and Jo Verster

We came on holiday to Abruzzo in 2011 from Cape Town, South Africa, and fell in love with the region, the people, and the simplicity of lifestyle. We transformed the Villa from an old farmhouse, into a breezy light and spacious home.We produce about 100 liters of virgin cold pressed olive oil a year from our single estate. We reside in our home which is about 90 meters from the villa, so are here to welcome guests personally, and to give you a complimentary starter food basket.

From then on, our involvement is just to assist you with any queries you might have.

Chris and Jo Verster purchased this villa in 2011

Why Chris and Jo Verster chose Casoli

In a nutshell, the panorama is unique. The villa speaks for itself! Luxurious and tranquil. The views, proximity to beaches (including a naturist beach), and plenty of historical sites make this a wonderful chilled out holiday destination.

The villa is just 45 minutes from Pescara (Abruzzo) airport, where one can hire a car. There are Ryan air flights from London Stansted, Oslo, Dusseldorf and other cities- check your Ryan air schedules.

It's just 2 hours and 10 minutes from Stansted.

The alternative is a bus ride or car hire from Rome- around 3 hrs scenic drive.

This Villa is what people dream of when they'd love a REAL holiday.

What makes this villa unique

Although the position is rural, all local amenities including authentic Italian restaurants, bars, coffee shops and some seriously fashionable shops are just 5 minutes drive away..

Value for money here is excellent in the food and wine department, and the authentic delicious restaurants will have you wanting more!

The villa is situated between the mountains and the sea. It's just 40 minutes to the ski slopes, where there are instructors ,lifts, mountain restaurants. Great fun for all in the snow! All this is at reasonable rates compared to touristic resorts around Italy.

The Adriatic Sea is 25 minutes away, warm and calm.

Be it in the mountains or at the sea, there are always excellent restaurant choices for authentic Abruzzese cuisine.

From 5 minutes to 45 minutes drive, depending on what you're looking for, you will find medieval castles, to village hamlets, historical ruins . Lunching on a yacht can be organized,or deep sea fishing, the choices are huge.

We also offer the services (independently) of day trips to wine farms, cooking classes, or cave tours, if booked well in advance.

Cozy, peacveful, amazing

  • 5 of 5
We had the most amazing stay at Chris & Jo’s in Abruzzo.
They are such lovely people who made us feel extremely welcome, provided us with a lovely welcome package, so we didn’t starve at our arrival, helped us out with tips for the local area and were in general really warm and friendly hosts.
The apartment is nicely decorated and very home-y and cozy – however, we didn’t spend much time inside but stayed permanently in either the pool area or on the fantastic roof top terrace. The peace and tranquility is indescribable as is the 180 degree view (at day as well as at night), and we will definitely be going back to this little slice of heaven as soon as possible.

a magic vacation in a peaceful Italian surrounding

  • 5 of 5
We visited there during the winter and it was amazing! The view is outstanding and breath taking. The place is far away from everything and you can see only view around you but yet everything you need is 5 minutes drive away. The house itself is very homey, you can see that Jo and Chris put a lot of a effort in choosing the right furnitures and art pieces to make the guests feel in a very unique place but yet very comfortable. Jo and Chris were lovely and gave us the feeling we are their home guests, they helped us explore the area by giving us all the useful and the secret tips. If you are looking for a magic vacation in a peaceful Italian surrounding in a Vila that every little detail was thought of, so you must go to Jo and Chris.

There are a number of festivals that take place between July and November. As we are surrounded by many hilltop villages and towns, one can see superb firework displays from the comfort of the villa, or go and join in the local festivities and sample the fabulous cuisine and vast selection of wines.

The selection of beaches is yours for the choosing, several are 'blue flag', and there are excellent restaurants and the famous trabocchi that line the coast.

A perfect and special place to be at one with nature in private and panoramic surroundings.

Within a 50 minute drive you have access to cities, malls, castles, ports, mountains, sea and historical sites.

Most of all a wonderful climate and a spectacular position.
