The Golden Gate National Recreation area covers not just San Francisco, but Marin County as well. Leave 'the city' (San Francisco), drive or bike, or walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, and reach recreational paradise. Enjoy Marin Headlands, Point Reyes National Seashore, Muir Woods National Monument, Mount Tamalpais State Recreation area, Samual P. Taylor Park, Olompali State Park and China Camp State Park - just to name a few.
Beaches:
**Stinson Beach: 2o minute drive (beautiful! Very serene & happening beach. Complete with Kioske)
**Bolinas Beach: 30 minute drive (incredibly scenic!)
**Pt Reyes National Seashore: 25 minute drive or less.
*Muir Beach: 24 minutes from home (Ocean) -Soak up the sun after visiting Muir Woods giant Redwoods or after touring Green Gulch Farm Z
Wines, Farms:
Marin Vacation Rental Retreat is a perfect home base from which to tour the Napa Valley wineries, such as Mondavi , Clos du Bois, & Fetzer. Arrive in central Napa Valley or even Sonoma Valley (another great adjacent wine region) in just 40 minutes or less. More interestingly, visit Marin’s cheese farms , such as Cowgirl Creamery. To go with that cheese, step it up a notch. Marin is very well known for its organic Pey-Marin Pinot Noir, due to the unique climate conditions for that grape- now that is living-organically! Who can’t handle that?

The 6,359-yard course has plenty of water and tree lined fairways to
challenge golfers of all levels. Semi-Private but public play accepted.
Mill Valley Golf Course: (10 minutes away) Established in 1919, its nine holes provide a challenge for novice and skilled golfers.
San Geronimo Golf Course: (20 minutes away - Beautiful- very natural)
Indian Valley Golf Club:(10 minutes away- very nice)
A beautiful 18 hole golf course that is open to the public.
