Super family vacation home!!

This vacation rental lacks for nothing. The owners have thought of everything. The house is clean, homey, and most important of all, the beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the lake, swimming every day. We only live 90 minutes away, so we didn't go for the surrounding attractions, of which there are many. We went for the swimming, boating and fishing. We were not disappointed. The deck at the waterfront is one of the nicest on the lake. It even has electricity. The balcony overlooking the lake is a great place to watch what is going on out on the lake. The view is gorgeous. The stairs to the downstairs, where all the lake toys are stored, are not for the elderly, but the house has easy access for everyone. The lower level of the house can also be accessed by the garage, so you don't have to use the stairs. Both the queen size bedrooms have a bathroom and there is also a large main bathroom. When you are ready to come in, there is comfortable seating for everyone and the kitchen is very well done. Rte 9 runs in front of the house and you do need to be careful when crossing it. We had three grandchildren with us, 11, 3, and 18mos. The deck on the lake has a picket fence around it with hooks to lock the gates, so we didn't worry. The deck is lower than street level, so we felt very private. It is a great deck with several entrances to the water. Even the back of this house has wonderful areas where you can sit out and eat or watch the kids as they play. The owners have worked hard to make the entire house inside and out extremely welcoming. My husband asked if he could bring the gas grill home. I'm pretty sure we will be looking for a similar grill soon. Life vests are provided, but we took some of our own. When relatives came up to celebrate the 4th of July, I was glad we had the extra vests. The water starts out shallow, but does drop off quickly, so the children wore life vests at all times when we were down by the water. They enjoyed the slide and everyone enjoyed jumping off the swimming platform. We didn't eat out, as we brought enough food for an army, but Chestertown is very close by with restaurants and a grocery store. The golfers played golf in the morning and picked ice every day for the ice chests. However, there are ice trays in the freezer. You didn't think the owner's forgot ice trays did you? They didn't forget anything! We truly enjoyed our family vacation! Thank you to the Chovanec's!
Owner's Response: Thanks so much for all the nice comments. Hope to see you again next year.
