When you first open the door to your fourth floor unit, you are facing a wall of windows in your studio showcasing the panorama of the endless waves. To the left as you enter is a lovely bathroom with a floating glass sink on a granite counter. The other highlight of your bathroom is the walk-in river rock shower with a palm tree etched on the glass shield. Outside the door there is ample storage for your suitcases and belongings.
The granite island services the well-supplied and beautiful kitchen that includes a micro-convection oven and all the modern conveniences plus a washer and dryer.
The studio is spacious and fully equipped with a 42 inch plasma TV, a gorgeous burl wood desk and chair from Bali, and a brand new and exceptionally comfortable couch. The king Murphy bed provides the comfort of a regular bed while offering the living space normally found only in one bedroom units.
This property is extremely close to the water (about 40 feet!) and you can literally sit in the 4th floor unit or lie on your bed, out of sight of anyone on the ground, with the door and curtains fully open, enjoying the crashing waves on the beach, right below your unit. During humpback whale season you can sit on your large lanai and feast on the natural show right in front of you.
At the end of a quiet road, the Mahana offers serenity not found in the frenetic hotels at the other end of Ka'anapali Beach and yet it is still convenient to extraordinary dining, shopping, and activities.
We had a magical visit - thank you Sue! The view from the lanai is spectacular. It truly took our breath away. And you can hear the waves breaking on the beach even with the sliding door shut. What a way to fall asleep... and to wake up. Life doesn't get much better than starting your day on the lanai eating breakfast or meditating to the sounds of the waves and birds. It was also great having all the little extras in the condo that were either provided by Sue or left by previous guests (e.g., beach chairs; boogie board; olive oil and cooking spray; spices; bath products). These saved us time and money. Much appreciated.
We liked the location a great deal. A relaxed environment away from town, but walking distance to shopping and several casual but good restaurants. Also the pool, hot tub and barbeque grills at the facility were very nice. I missed having a gym on site, but that's me.
Bottom line: Don't wait any longer to book this condo unit!
My husband and I chose to stay on Maui for the second half of our "Hawaiian Honeymoon", and this condo served as the perfect home base! The entire unit was extremely clean, all of the necessary amenities were provided (and even more!), and the view from the lanai was absolutely breathtaking. We could have sat in those chairs every night for the rest of our lives, just watching the sunset and the waves coming up over the rocks below.
The location was great as well! There were several delicious restaurants nearby... We highly recommend Miso Phat (delicious sushi) and The Pizza Connection (the BEST wood-fired pizza). While on Maui, we lounged on the beach, soaked up as much of the Hawaiian rays as possible, consumed a year's worth of fish (SO good), and just enjoyed each other's company in paradise.
We could not have asked for a better honeymoon! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much to Sue for your wonderful hospitality and for opening up your beautiful condo to us! Mahalo!

I stayed in this studio Jan.-mid March/14 and had absolutely everything I needed . The description written by the owner is totally accurate. The condo is tastefully furnished, the kitchen is well stocked and all the appliances worked well. In many rentals , you can tell it is just a business and some of the quality of things is lacking or really worn down. It is obvious that the owners want you to feel like a welcome guest, and totally at home here. If you are here during the days of the month when the full moon wakes you up as it slowly drops into the ocean , you will feel like you didn't pay enough . It is incredible and you can lie in your comfortable bed and be absolutely mesmerized. There are no words to describe the sense of awe I felt. The views of the ocean and other islands are stunning and nothing is in the way. The private lanai's are great. You could actually sit on the lanai all day and feel like you have been at the beach all day. The whale watching was so fabulous, sometimes it took me until the afternoon to get to the pool /beach area as I was constantly distracted by all the whales and the turtles up close to shore. There were always chairs available.
I also really appreciated how clean the condo was on my arrival. There were cleaning supplies and washing machine soap, which many rentals do not include but is such a nice touch! Parking was easy and the beach walk to Whalers village was great exercise. The wifi was very dependable and Sue was very responsive if I needed to connect with her about anything. Starting from my first e-mail inquiring about a rental. I can't imagine anyone NOT wanting to return .
Thanks for sharing this gem and the great hospitality Sue.

BUT Still AWESOME..!!
We spent a wonderful week here celebrating our 33rd Anniversary. It was the perfect location and the views were incredible! We loved sitting on the lanai and listening to the ocean. Sue was very helpful and had everything taken care of when we arrived. The condo was clean and in perfect condition. The picture were accurate! We loved that you can walk to Duke's for dinner. There is a boardwalk next to complex and you can walk to Whalers Village etc. It is a perfect walk in the morning. That was a favorite for us and a treat to not be on the road walking. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back again soon. It is the perfect location and the condo had all the amenities we needed. Thank you Sue for sharing your beautiful condo with us. Sorry we didn't get to meet.
The condo pictures are totally accurate; the bed is very comfortable; and the unit was clean. We never closed the drapes and always slept with the slider open to sleep and wake with the ocean sounds. We spent a lot of time on our lanai watching whale spouts, tails, flukes and splashes. Loved seeing them! We also saw sea turtles, spinner dolphins, rainbows, surfers, snorklers, paddle boarders, boogie boarders, beach walkers...you name it. We had privacy with a fantastic view. There is coral in front of the building; you need to walk 100-150 yards north or south for better ocean access. We explored other beaches (Wailea, Makena, Baldwin, Hookipa, Flemming, Kapalua) and drove the Road to Hana. Drive all the way around for beautiful and different scenery. Take the Road2Hana CD from the condo with you. It's good. Stores (small grocery and ABC), coffee (Bad Ass), Farmer's Market, and a few restaurants are within walking distance. Boardwalk to Black Rock and all Ka'anapali resorts is super convenient. Hot tub and pool are great. We enjoyed good dinners at Star Noodle, Kimo's, Lahaina Grill, Honu, Mala and Duke's. Good breakfasts at Castaway and Sea House. Good coffee at Bad Ass and Lava Java in Kihei. Sue was prompt and answered all my questions. We would recommend this condo. Just don't book it when we want it again, please. Our favorite activity: enjoying the warm sun and watching the whales.
The Mahana is direct oceanfront, offering breathtaking views up and down uncrowded North Ka'anapali Beach in West Maui and across the gorgeous Pacific to the islands of Lanai and Molokai. The weather systems over the two islands create amazing sunsets you can enjoy from your lanai each evening. You will revel in the quiet luxury of the Mahana and yet still appreciate its proximity to restaurants, shops, and activities. You are just two miles from Whalers Village and four miles from Lahaina where you can shop, enjoy meals at first-class restaurants, or just go out for a night on the town.
For those who love to walk along the beach, the Mahana is perfect. You have the choice of walking about two miles to the Sheraton at Black Rock either along the beach or on the boardwalk. You can then continue your walk to Whaler's Village and then on to the Hyatt at the far end of the boardwalk. Along the way, you will pass wonderful oceanfront restaurants including world-famous Duke's and also Castaway's. Walking from the Mahana in the other direction, north, you have two oceanfront cafes within five minutes, one at the Ka'anapali Beach Club and also at Ka'anapali Shores.
There is great snorkeling right in front of the resort, plus an oceanfront pool, hot tub, shuffleboard court, and bbq grills that are cleaned daily.
The Mahana has four championship golf courses nearby and easy access to the Challenge at Manele on the island of Lanai from the Lahaina Pier via the Expeditions ferry.
Your Mahana unit blends seclusion with the convenience of being right across the street from the best grocery store in the area, Times Market, a snorkel shop, delicatessen, Mexican Restaurant, real estate office, coffee shop, "make-your-own-pancakes" restaurant, therapeutic massage, fish market, sub shop, Italian restaurant, fishing and tackle shop, and many more.
